You know when you just get so into a television show or a movie that you find yourself falling in love with certain characters? Even considering them a role model? These female nonfictional television characters all have beauty, intelligence, power, determination, and killer wardrobes. I mean, what more could you possibly want?
1. Olivia Pope from "Scandal"
She's a fixer; she fixes things. She wears "the white hat" and can cover up any murder, any lie, or really scandal before it even has the time to become an issue. She has a team of faithful followers, or as they like to call it, “gladiators." I mean, you must be doing something right if you have the president of the United States of America wrapped around your finger.
Best Quotes:
"I am not the girl the guy gets at the end of the movie. I am not a fantasy. If you want me, you earn me."
"Now, you can dance with me or you can get off my dance floor. I’m fine dancing alone."
"If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work, but you have to try, because if you try, if you leap and you try, and it doesn’t work out, it’s not on you."
2. Elle Woods from "Legally Blonde"
Now, this character I can relate to the most considering she’s blonde and has a passion for pink. Call me basic, but I'm just being honest here. If a story about the transformation of a heartbroken sorority girl to a Harvard Law, crime-solving lawyer by the end of the film does not motivate you, then I don’t know what will.
Best Quotes:
"Whoever said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed."
"You must always have faith in people, and most importantly, you must always have faith in yourself."
3. Blair Waldorf from "Gossip Girl"
Now, I had to save the best for last. Anyone who has watched "Gossip Girl" knows why I chose Queen B as someone to idolize. Whether it comes to being betrayed by her best friend Serena, talked down to by her mother, or trapped into a marriage with Prince Louis, Blair never lets anything get in her way of working for what she wants. Only she could set up a teacher to meet her at a restaurant that does not exist, force wannabes like Jenny Humphry to flee the town, and make someone as heartless as Chuck Bass fall completely and totally in love with her. Also, I wouldn’t mind having Darota as my sidekick either.
Best Quotes:
"I'm not a stop along the way, I'm a destination."
"Whoever said that money doesn't buy happiness didn't know where to shop."
"Destiny is for losers. It's just a stupid excuse to wait for things to happen instead of making them happen."
"If you really want something, you don't stop for anyone or anything until you get it."
"Here's my advice: have a little faith, and if that doesn't work, have a lot of mimosas."
