3 Tips To Help Relieve Depression

In May of 2015, I was struggling! I was going through situation after situation where I was being pushed farther and farther into depression because of circumstances. I was letting the situations in my life determine my emotions and through that my want to enjoy life to the fullest. I was in a place where all I wanted was to fall away from the world and be alone yet the more time I was alone the more depressed I felt, the more I needed people.

If you're in the same place I was, here are three things you can do to try and help yourself!

1. Get dressed!

Let yourself feel good and confident in yourself and who you are. Your beautiful, it’s okay to know it!

2. Clean your room or your bathroom.

Being able to get up, let some light shine in your room and do something (even let it be small) that allows you to feel productive, will brighten your spirit just enough to get your mind going.

3. Get out for a little bit.

Take some time to get out of your hibernation. If you struggle with social anxiety, pick one person you trust and even if it will only be for 30 minutes in a quiet coffee shop, it will help!

Good luck, and enjoy your life, you can't get much better than being young!

Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:
