"Gossip Girl:" ruling young-adult TV drama from 2007 to infinity. Mid-2000s "Sex in the City" goes teen. With everything you could ask for in a show, including, but not limited to, Upper East Side scandal (so many scandals), thrills,
1. The Drama
This one is probably the show's biggest appeal. Every season has at least one major dramatic event and around two or three other semi-catastrophic dramatic events. No spoilers here -- I'm not in the business of ruining dramatic reveals for anyone but myself. Do yourself a favor: don't be like me (aka, dumb) and look up who Gossip Girl is because learning that on the internet is way less of a dramatic reveal than actually watching it. So, no spoilers, but it gets real. Prepare yourself for many, many shocks and a lot of anger.

3. The Characters
Honestly, every show should have this appeal. Unfortunately, not all of them do. Despite the fact that nearly all of the characters are wealthy Upper-East Side royalty, some of them are surprisingly relatable. For example, in my opinion Serena van der Woodsen is like every girl. She's a little too much of a victim for my taste, but she has her moments that make her
You know you love me.
