Most of us adore movies. The art of film is a wonderful gift to humanity. How often can you be immersed into another world for a few hours and forget about your troubles? It's an even better experience when the movie is done well. You know what I'm referring to, the type of story that tugs at your heart strings, or gives you a collection of quotes to annoy your friends with (so me). I could write a list of 20+, but for now I am sticking with three of my absolute favorites, in no particular order.
1. Miss Congeniality. If you like Sandra Bullock, this is a must watch. If you don't particularly care for her, still watch it. Quick set-up, Sandra plays a rather tomboyish FBI agent who goes undercover as a Miss USA contestant in response to a bomb threat. This flick has everything you want in a movie, humor, romance, suspense and the always handsome, Benjamin Bratt. I have seen this movie too many times to count, I promise you will not be disappointed. Grab your snacks and if you need to borrow the DVD, I know a girl.
2. Return to Me. A beautiful film that my mom introduced to me a few years ago, which is now loved by the entire family. Directed and written by the always hilarious and talented Bonnie Hunt (who also happens to be my favorite actress). Oh, Bonnie is in the movie too, alongside the charming David Duchovny and Minnie Driver. I am fearful of spoiling the fun if I give away too many details, so all I can say is this motion picture has "heart". You'll laugh, cry, and appreciate the gorgeous Chicago scenery. A truly touching film featuring classic tunes, and an unforgettable cast. Keep the tissues handy, and lose yourself in the story. 10/10.

Stay tuned for the next few weeks, as I plan on continuing this list! Thanks for reading, I'd love to hear about your favorite movies.
