Running long distance has changed my entire lifestyle, and I think these things can ring true for any distance runner!

26.2 *wink* *wink* signs you know you are a long distance runner:

1. You're always hungry...every hour

2. Buying pants is impossible (Especially jeans)

3. Eight miles is an easy day

4. Cross country is better then track

5. People call you crazy

6. You have an entire routine the night before a race

7. All the t-shirts you own are from races

8. You avoid pedicures

9. You hate the treadmill

10. You have no upper body strength

11. You can no longer stand the word "jog" or "jogger"

12. You own more running shoes then dress shoes

13. You have running withdrawal if you don't run everyday


14. The track is your nemesis

15. You run through puddles, not around them

16. Any run under an hour feels short

17. You’ve researched running routes before vacation

18. You always carry a water bottle around

19. $100 for running shoes is no big deal

20. Your favorite food group is carbohydrates

21. A new PR is the equivalent of your birthday

22. You have multiple pairs of running shoes....trail, race, road and everything in between

23. You always wear nail polish to cover up your toenails

24. Everyone at your local running store knows you by name

25. You can’t bear to throw out old running shoes, even when they are past their prime

26. You have a relationship with a foam roller
