Texarkana: the city coined “Twice as Nice” is regarded to the majority of Texans as the southern mystery. Living in one city and two states isn’t a geographical flaw; it’s a blessing. Different from Austin, El Paso and even Lubbock, the town has a reputation all its own. Here are 26 signs that you’re a sure fire Texarkana native.

1. Sometimes you find yourself heading to Target to kill time.

And see your neighbor, relative, old teacher, your ex, best friend, and your dog in the store.

2. You have had a debate if Reggie’s is better than TLC, or if Slim’s Chicken is better than Cane’s.

3. You’ve heard, “I’ve driven through there before!” when meeting new people.

4. You ride “the shuffle" regularly, or hear about people who ride “the shuffle” regularly.

5. When scrolling through Facebook, you tend to get scared about all the local crime stories being shared daily.

6. One time you left Ironwood Grill because the wait was too long, only to head to Amigo Juan.

7. You see an Arkansas license plate and critique their driving.

8. You see a Texas license plate and critique their driving.

9. All the nail salons either begin with a letter or an adjective.

CK Nails, Modern Nails, Relax Spa & Nails, OP Nails, LV Nail and Spa, American Nails, Natural Nails…

10. Have been to Abby Gayle’s at least once to buy Kendra Scott for a loved one (or yourself).

11. You drive to Dallas, or any other large city, and it’s considered a vacation.

12. When it snows or if the roads are a bit iced, it’s a day-off.

13. You enjoy explaining that Texarkana is in two states.

You love it even more when people “oh” and “awe”

14. You contemplate exploring the infamous Hotel Grim.

15. Your first sign of summer is Southern Tropics opening.

16. You feel like Indiana Jones dodging sinkholes out by Bed Bath & Beyond.

21. The majority of your life has been surrounded by construction.

22. You get excited seeing construction and think it's a new restaurant or store.

23. Then you are often disappointed to find out it's just another bank.

24. People treat Trivia Night like it’s a sport.

25. You have at least one family member that’s an alumni from Texas High School or Pleasant Grove High School.

26. At the end of the day, you’re more proud of your roots than any other person in the south.

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
