Every university has its inside jokes, its quirks, and its secrets that only the people who go there will understand. Abilene Christian University is no exception to this rule.

1. You've named at least 2 of the campus cats

2. Highways and Byways is more than just a song

3. You always forget there are about 4 other colleges in Abilene

4. The best food in the Bean is the ice cream and the omelets

5. Right hand only, three finger rule

6. Ring by Spring is not a myth

7. Social club chanting during the pledging weeks is one of the most annoying things

8. Many people, including yours truly, use up all of their bean bucks very quickly

9. Learning how to 2 step is a must

10. You've been to, or been invited to, professor's houses more than once

11. #acudifference is a real thing

12. 1 word: Crickets.

13. Even after taking it, you still don't understand what Core is

14. Almost everyone owns an eno

15. Parking tickets are handed out like flyers

16. Theme days on Friday in the Bean are the best

17. Half the campus goes home over the weekend so good parking spots are finally available

18. Get to chapel as early as possible because the Moody stairs are hell to walk up

19. You have to know how to make your own fun in Abilene

20. Abilene sunsets are the greatest.

21. The best places to take pictures are in downtown

22. You've waited in a line for Whataburger that was out the door at 2am

23. The people who go to ACU are honestly the best.

24. You secretly love Abilene but won't admit it

25. As soon as you see the bell tower and Chapel on the Hill from the freeway, you know you're home.
