I write an article for Odyssey every week, and have been doing so since September 2015. Sometimes, I can’t think of a single topic to write about and am stuck staring at my screen for hours. I watch news segments, read through blogs, and wade my way through the latest things happening in pop culture. When you have writer’s block, the search for finding a topic is more exhausting than writing an article. So, for those who have their off weeks where they spend more of their time searching the web for inspiration than writing, here is a list of 25 things to write about when you have writer’s block.

1. A list of 25 topics for when you have writer’s block.

2. A list of things you’ll never do again.

3. 100 things to do when you’re bored.

4. How would you rob a bank and get away with it?

5. What songs are on your favorite fictional character’s playlist?

6. Write a travel blog!

7. Your top 10 favorite blogs.

8. You’re top 10 favorite YouTube videos, stars and channels.

9. Writers you aspire to be like and why.

10. Respond to an editorial in the New York Times (or other popular paper).

11. Narrate a photo and create the story behind it.

12. All the things wrong with your college. (Everybody has a list.)

13. Free local date ideas.

14. DIY projects.

15. An open letter to your hero or life goal.

16. A list of cheap alternatives to a popular yet expensive store.

17. Tips you’d talk about on “girl code” or “guy code.”

18. Why you write.

19. What you’re bestseller would be about.

20. Things you wish would be invented.

21. A list of things you should never buy the generic brand of or things you don’t trust on sale.

22. The thing you are most guilty of.

23. What makes you an onion — the layers people don’t originally see.

24. Review the last critically acclaimed movie you saw.

25. What reality TV show you’d want to make.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
