College is an amazing experience. You have so much freedom, from choosing your classes to choosing your living arrangements. You have four beautiful years filled with laughter and tears, friendships and heartaches, studying and partying, and just living life. Make the most of it! I made a list that I thought would be the ultimate college bucket list. I have actually fulfilled half of these in my time here at college. Let's see how many you can accomplish!
1. Join a club that interests you!
If you're into anime, join an anime club! If you like foreign languages, try Spanish or Japanese club. If you like to take pictures, try a yearbook club! If you like to sing, then acapella club or a gospel choir would be a perfect fit for you. Whatever your interest, I'm sure your college has a club! If not, petition to start your own!
2. Visit your best friend on his/her campus.
When you found out your best friend was going to a different college than you, you were probably upset. Don't look at as a bad thing. Though they are far away, you can always visit each other. The best friendships remain strong, even with distance! When you do finally get to go see them at their school, you get a "mini vacation" away from your school while seeing your best friend!
3. Explore the towns around your school.
One day when you get bored after class, grab some friends and go exploring the towns around your school. There's no better way than to go sight-seeing. You never know what stores and other places you may find!
4. Ask your professor to teach seminar outside!
On beautiful days, ask your professor if he/she will teach outside! It is way better than being cooped up in a stuffy classroom. The worst they can do is say "no".
5. Try new foods/restaurants.
While your in college, try to explore as many new food and restaurants as you can!
6. Take advantage of that free campus gym membership.
While exploring all those new foods, take advantage of your free membership at the gym on your campus! Seldom in the real world will you find an opportunity like this. You have free access to weights, exercise rooms, equipment and a pool!
7. Apply to your dream internship!
There is no better way than to see if a major is right for you, than to apply for an internship in that field.
8. Abuse student discount privileges.
There are many restaurants and stores that give college students discounts! Some of these include: Amazon, Spotify, CharlotteRusse, Burger King, Buffalo Wild Wings and Apple. Look into it and save!
9. Make friends with a random classmate!
You never know what a person is like until you get to know them. Take a chance and sit beside somebody new in class. Friendships can bloom anywhere!
10. Have a picnic on the quad!
Pick a nice, sunny day and enjoy a picnic on the quad with friends!
11. Get people from your major together outside of class!
You already have something in common: your major! Get to know the people that you will be having classes with for the next few years! Who knows? One of them could be your future roommate, boyfriend/girlfriend or best friend! Now that's "Squad Goals"!
12. Take a road trip with buddies!
There is absolutely nothing like taking a road trip with some of your closest friends! Last year I went to Myrtle Beach with some friends, and had the time of my life!
13. Pull an all-nighter!
College is not college until you have pulled the legendary "all-nighter". Whether it's spent writing a paper that's due the next day or just watching movies with friends, everybody does it!
14. Skip a class to sleep.
To make up for the sleep lost after your all-nighter, most students skip a class the next day. Or maybe two. Or maybe all of them.
15. Attend a game for each school sport.
Even if you aren't a big sports fan, make it your goal to attend at least one game of each sport at your school. Just to say you've did it.
16. Attempt to cook a meal.
Have fun trying to cook a meal with friends!
17. Explore the advantages of being legal!
I'm not saying that you should go crazy with alcohol, or cigarettes. But by being legal, you now have the right to vote.
18. Dye your hair a crazy color, and pierce or tattoo something.
Some people won't do this one. But others have this urge to do something "crazy" like dying your hair or getting a tattoo. Maybe you want to pierce your nose. Get the urge out of your system before you graduate!
19. Go out every night for a week.
Make Monday a "Fun Day". Make the club "go up" on a Tuesday. Wednesday is "Friends Day". Thursday night is really College Night. And Fridays are just awesome. Go have fun.
20. Enjoy the free entertainment on campus.
Most colleges have fun things to do such as formals, carnivals, movie nights, etc. Take advantage and go have a blast!
21. Go to at least one school concert.
Like I said previously about sports, just go to say you've did it.
22. Pass all your classes and graduate.
Don't forget to have fun while you're at it!
