The 22 Best Things About Fall

Fall is one of the most wonderful seasons of the year. It is a season of beginnings and endings at the same time. School starts as summer ends and while we may feel bittersweet about this fact for a while, it soon fades. We then yearn for the wonderful aspects of fall to kick in and make it truly one of the most enjoyable seasons of the year. Here are 22 of the best things about fall:

1. SweatersSweaters are one of the most beautiful things about fall. Once we finally get past that awkward cold-but-not-cold stage in September, sweater season is full on and we love it. They’re just so incredibly comfy, warm, and perfect.

2. Scarves

Huge infinity scarves are one of the warmest aspects of fall fashion. They go with anything and are practical and fashionable. Gotta love that combo.

3. Boots

Whether you're still a loyal Ugg fan or into combat boots, they are simply a 100% necessity during fall and winter. Once again, they can be worn with anything and keep your feet dry, warm, and fashionable. They also are great for artsy pictures.

4. Flannel

Flannel has returned, for better or worse. But I have to say, when worn correctly, baggy flannel shirts are one of the simplest and most comfy options for everyday outfits. Go flannel!

5. Hot chocolate with cinnamon

Yes, this is partly a shoutout to Once Upon a Time fans, but seriously, it is the best. Hot chocolate alone is fantastic and add a little cinnamon on top and it is off the charts. It screams fall.

6. SALTED CARAMEL MOCHAS

One of my personal favorite things about Starbucks' fall menu. The sweetness, the espresso, the crunch on top...bliss. Great, now I want one.

7. Autumn is clearly the best season for Starbucks

From the notorious PSL to Salted Caramel Mochas to Chai Lattes, there are just so many toasty options this time of year. I can imagine Starbucks' loves this time of year too.

8. Pumpkin everything

Pumpkin pumpkin pumpkin. There's never too much.

9. CANDY CORN

It's just such a staple in fall candy.

10. The holidays that are coming

Let's be honest, as fabulous as fall is, we all associate it as meaning Christmas is coming. And that makes us super excited. Thanksgiving is pretty great too.

11. New tv show seasons

So. Many. Premiers. It's too much to handle.

12. Football

Thank goodness Sunday afternoon football is back! What did we do without it?!

13. Hockey

We've survived a grueling summer without it, and we know what October means....hockey season is back!

14. The World Series

Baseball may be a "summer sport," but the action sure gets going in October!

15. Rainy nights and tea

Those cold, rainy, quiet nights at home just aren't complete without a hot drink and book.

16. Leaves and their glory

The fall colors are simply breathtaking, especially in mountainous areas. This is simply one of the most glorious parts of fall.

17. Candles

Pumpkin candles were a staple in my house during the fall months. They bring such a wonderful aroma to the air.

18. Bonfires

Those cold, smoky nights at a bonfire are a must during the fall months.

19. S’mores at said bonfires

A bonfire isn't complete without s'mores, let's be honest.

20. Apple picking

Admittedly, a lot of us do it just for the experience rather than the apples, but fresh picked apples are the bomb.

21. Hiking

Hikes during the brisk fall weather are invigorating and good for the soul.

22. Sunsets

Glorious colors of a sunset mixed with vibrant fall colors just sums up the amazingness that is fall. Get out there and enjoy it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
