There's a fine line between a friend and a best friend. Some things, only your dearest friends and family can say to you without you becoming totally embarrassed. Your besties are the people you depend on to tell you the truth no matter how badly you don't want to hear it, but wouldn't you rather your best friend tell you the truth than have everyone else talk about you?

1. "You look fat in that."

2. "You have something in your teeth, let me get it for you."

3. "You need to put on deodorant, like now. I have some in my bag if you need to borrow it."

Either your best friend will tell you that you stink or everyone else will think it.

4. "You need to seriously calm down."

5. "Do not take another sip of that drink, I'm not carrying you out of here."

6. "Like my picture, it doesn't have enough likes."

7. "That's definitely not normal. You should totally get it checked out."

You tell each other all your weird bodily functions.

8. "You have way too much makeup on."

If you look orange or like a clown, you can count on your bestie to let you know.

9. "He's using you and never going to text you back."

10. "You need to take down that picture you put on social media, you look horrendous."

Only your closet friends can tell it like it is.

11. "You're such a bitch."

12. "Your ass looks great in that!"

13. "I'm coming over to raid your closet, because I have nothing to wear."

All besties share clothes, shoes, accessories, pocketbooks, and everything else.

14. "Your mom is in a bitch mood today isn't she?"

15. "I really don't like him for you."

16. "I'm coming over, be there in two minutes. If you're not home, I'll hang with your mom."

You know you're best friends when you're comfortable around your friend's family when your friend isn't around.

17. "You're acting like a bitch."

18. "Shut up before you get yourself into more trouble."

Your best friend knows you better than you know yourself sometimes. It's best to listen because they're just looking out for you.

19. "You're wrong, but I'm going to defend you anyways."

Behind closed doors, you tell your best friend that he or she is totally wrong, but you defend them if front of everyone else.

20. "What the hell is going on with your hair? It's not working for you."

21. "You need more alcohol, you're too uptight."

These are just some of the endless things that only your closest friends can say to you without you getting offended. Even though you might want to kill them in the heat of the moment, your best friends are always looking out for you and have your best interest in mind.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
