Growing up with strict parents can be a weird experience. When your friends talk about the sneaking out, late nights, and hooligan activities they engaged in throughout their youth, you can't really relate. While sometimes having strict parents can be kind of a downer, you've come into adulthood with responsibility and discipline, unlike your peers. There are certain things that anyone who grew up with strict parents will remember very well.

1. When your friends wanted to hang out after school, you always said no because you had to go home to do your chores:

2. Before asking to go out, you mentally prepared your case for at least three hours before finally talking to your parents.

3. You rarely used your phone around you parents to avoid the "you're always on that thing" lecture.

4. You always slept over at your friends' houses, they rarely came to yours.

5. You made sure your parents were in a good mood before you asked them for something.

6. Eating dinner anywhere except the kitchen table was not an option.

7. You knew that the "just ask them again" approach would never work.

8. You never left your friends alone with your parents our of fear of them saying something stupid and getting you in trouble.

9. Even as an adult, you run your decisions by your parents to see what they think.

10. You immediately panicked every time your mom called you by your full name.

11. You have a very healthy fear of your parents.

12. You became an expert at pretending to be asleep.

13. When your older friends finally got their licenses, riding in their cars was not an option.

14. If you didn't have a precise schedule for your going-out activities, you weren't going.

15. You still had a curfew when you came home from college for the summer.

16. You had to wake up early in the summer because "there's no reason to sleep all day."

17. You constantly checked your phone when you were out with friends to make sure your parents hadn't called.

18. You always got home earlier than you were supposed too... And even that felt too late.

19. You were always surprised when your parents actually let you go out.

20. As an adult, you are constantly on time and respectful.

21. While they sometimes drove you crazy, you're thankful for your parents, because they helped you become the responsible, successful adult that you are today.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
