I can still remember my first encounter with makeup, I had stayed at my aunts house and she did my hair and makeup the next day, I felt like the prettiest girl in the world, and from there it became almost tradition. Ever since then, my love for makeup has evolved and became something that I love for more reasons than one.

1. It became the way I learned to accept myself and feel like I was worth something.

2. It gives me happiness.

3. Makeup tutorials are the best way to pass the time.

4. Nailing winged eyeliner is the best feeling hands down

5. It taught me that art can be anything, and that my face is my canvas.

6. Having others compliment your work is always the greatest accomplishment.

7. A good pair of eyelashes can always turn a bad day into a great one.

8. Effortlessly blended eye shadow will forever be my sense of joy.

9. During my sad times, its always been a good way to escape the thoughts in my head.

10. It's more then just feeling pretty, it's about feeling your best.

11. A good foundation can dramatically change your life.

12. Sephora hauls are the best hauls.

13. Though it ruins your bank account, online shopping can always brighten your day.

14. Waiting for a new product to launch makes you feel like a child on Christmas.

15. It has become my passion.

16. If your highlight is poppin', then nothing can go wrong.

17. It's more than just painting your face, it's having fun and trying out new looks.

18. Baking is the greatest thing ever created.

19. It's fun.

20. There aren't any rules.

21. It never fails to make you feel good about yourself.

Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots.
