The 2016 year has been filled with many unpredictable outcomes and events, some for good, and some for the worst. Even though 2016 was a rough year, there is optimism for the upcoming 2017 year; from new movies, to anniversaries of historical events, here are some of the things you can look forward to in 2017.


1. Movies.

2017 may be the year for action movies. Some of the expected movies in 2017 are:

-Guardians of the Galaxy 2

-Justice League

-Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell no Tales

-The Fate of the Furious

-Wonderwoman

- Star Wars: Episode 8


2. Anniversaries.

Found from Itnsource, here are 5 historical moments that are getting an anniversary in 2017:

-100th anniversary that America declares war on Germany in WW1.

-50th anniversary of the first successful heart transplant.

-75th anniversary of Stephen Hawking's birth.

-80th anniversary since Amelia Earhart disappeared

-150th anniversary of Wilbert Wright


3. Superbowl 51.

Although the teams competing are not quite determined yet, there is no doubt that the game will be something memorable. From Super Bowl commercials, to Lady Gaga secretly planning her halftime performance, it's best to call off work for that day.


4. Going back to school.

Yes, school-regardless of education level- is a pain. However, for elementary school kids, parents will be able to go back to their good old routines, and college kids will be able to go back to doing exactly what they do: eat, study, cry, work, and sleep (sometimes).


5. The Presidential Inaugural Ceremony.

With rumors of thousands of protestors, and rumors of nobody wanting to perform music for the event, it's safe to say that this Presidential ceremony will be much more entertaining than the previous ones. Best to bring a bag of popcorn for this one.
