Here are 2017's food trends that everyone will be going crazy over.

WHEY

You probably think of "whey" as a protein powder used by people that are trying to keep in shape or are trying to lose weight. The company White Moustache is a yogurt company that did not want their leftover products to go to waste. After thinking about what should be done with the leftover liquids, the company decided to infuse it with whey. It is considered a product that is good for you and your gut. The product also contains probiotics and calcium.

BUG JUICE

Do you enjoy eating insects, more specifically, crickets? If so, this product is something to try. Eating insects has always been a delicacy in other countries but America has never adapted to it. The company Trouble Makers Inc. has developed a cocktail that is healthy for all. This special cocktail contains toasted crickets which gives you more calcium that a glass of milk.

BROCCOLI ANYONE?

What would you say if you could eat all of the foods you did not like and not have a problem with it? Do you hate broccoli or many other healthy vegetables? The company Taste Buddy has created a product that can change your taste buds to trick you into thinking you are eating a food you actually enjoy. From now on, vegetables can taste like chocolate. A prototype is already in the works.

JELLY SHOTS

These all natural premium portable shots include many different flavors and are a great item to add to any party or just a mom's night out.

SPIKED SELTZER

This is the new trend I am most excited about! Seltzer screams a healthy alternative to other alcoholic beverages. This product is being called the alcoholic LaCroix. Spiked Seltzer is made with purified water and natural ingredients.

JACKFRUIT

Jackfruit has a very versatile taste. This fruit is similar to a mango and is tropical in texture. Some people would say that jackfruit tastes a lot like pulled pork. Unlike most fruits, this tropical goodness grows on the largest tree in the world. Jackfruit is high in potassium, protein, and vitamin B. You may consider this is a great alternative for vegans and vegetarians for a meat substitute. This is definitely something worth trying out.

BLACK GARLIC

Ever hear of black garlic? This ingredient is highly popular in Korea but has always been overlooked in America. Not only does this garlic taste amazing, it also has beneficial health benefits. Black garlic is loaded with antioxidants, way more than any raw garlic. Many studies have shown that this garlic has definitely gained popularity and I am sure you will see it more in the grocery store.

Being Invisible The Best Super Power

The best superpower ever? Being invisible of course. Imagine just being able to go from seen to unseen on a dime. Who wouldn't want to have the opportunity to be invisible? Superman and Batman have nothing on being invisible with their superhero abilities. Here are some things that you could do while being invisible, because being invisible can benefit your social life too.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
