Disclaimer: I am by no means a theologian or a politician. I am an 18-year-old girl who is extremely passionate about my relationship with Jesus, truth and food. That being said, here are some things I would like to share with you by the way that I see it in my eyes.

One thing that has helped me along with my world view is the Bible. As cliche as it may sound, it is the living and God-breathed truth. In Romans 13:1 it says, “Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.” My interpretation of this is that we have to submit to authority even if we do not feel like it. We can pray all we want, but prayer doesn't change God’s mind, it changes our mind. Titus 3:1 goes on to say, “Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers. They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good.” As a Christian, one thing that I know is important is obedience. Obedience shows respect submission. We don't have to agree to submit, but we can submit without agreeing. By acting disgraceful, judgmental, and attacking, we are not doing what is good. Luke 20:25 also nails it into us much more by saying, “Well then,” he said, “give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and give to God what belongs to God.” Yes, we should pay taxes, even if we think the government is corrupt! We benefit from the national security, the federal establishments, and most of the thing our home has to offer.

Our candidates at this point in the Primary elections are Donald Trump (R), Ted Cruz (R), and John Kasich (R) all as Republicans. The democratic candidates are Hillary Clinton (D) and Bernie Sanders (D). On the Republican side, we see harsh messages about immigration and policies of national security, while on the democratic side we see flip-flopping on issues, and promises that will cost us more money in taxes. In my mind, I see it differently. I see broken people under a lot of pressure who need prayer and Jesus. The world sees injustice to them while truly I see lashing out in pain. Sometimes we need to remember that politicians are people, too.

Scripture says “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. “ We as Christians should have no fear because God is in control. Yes, we should pray about who we vote for, and be obediant to the voice of God, but God has it under control. I do not know who I will be voting for, and I am not always correct, but I have no reason to fear because my God is the greatest leader, and a fierce protector.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
