To The 2016-2017 Boston Bruins: Thank You
Boston Globe

Dear 2016-2017 Bruins team,

Your fans are so proud of you. You may not have won the Stanley Cup but you made the playoffs for the first time since 2014 and that is a great accomplishment. This season was full of changes and challenges, from a dramatic coaching change to a short playoff run plagued with injuries, you played through it all. At times you were magnificent and other times, it was difficult to watch you struggle. But through it all, you still gave us a great season.

One thing that is clearer than ever is how bright the future is for this team. We all knew that one day, our promising draft picks would be ready to play and contribute. Well, that day has come. Watching Charlie McAvoy be thrown into the playoffs, having never played a regular season NHL game was amazing. He was not a liability, he was an asset to the team when the bench was getting short. Once the injured players heal and the team can start off fresh again next year with the new, young talent, next season looks like it could be one for the record books.

This season was a roller coaster at times, but it was so fun to watch. Your fans appreciate your hard work and sacrifices so much and we are so lucky to have a wonderful hockey culture here in New England led by an outstanding team. All of you played with great heart and passion that is inspiring to all. We cannot thank you all enough for your dedication to this sport and for your unwavering commitment to helping our community. You are the professional athletes that children can be proud to look up to because you are all so selfless.

So, thank you Bruins for just being yourselves and trying your hardest. The end result was disappointing but you all put forth an outstanding effort. There is nothing to be ashamed of when you lose a postseason series where every game was decided by one goal and when you went to overtime four out of six games while also dealing with questionable officiating at times. You guys fought so hard and I am very proud of your effort this season and in the playoffs. Thank you Boston Bruins, your fans love you and are looking forward to what the future has in store.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
