2015: A Year In Review

Though many important, drastic, amusing, or life altering events happened every day of 2015, I think some of us can agree certain tiny milestones stood out more than others. Here are some things in 2015 you'll definitely remember and if you don't, please climb out from the under the rock you've been hiding under. So with that I give you 2015, a year under review.

1. Drake and Meek Mill's Twitter battle, turned to diss tracks.

2. The rumor of a "Friends" reunion.

3. The emergence of Demi's twin Poot Lovato.

4. Left shark dominating the Super Bowl halftime show.

5. Kim and Kanye naming their child Saint.

6. Adele came back stronger than ever.

7. Meanwhile Frank Ocean should be put on the side of a milk carton.

8. Flare jeans and suede skirts came back.

9. Chokers were also in.

10. The big/little love we all witnessed all our social media was even more present this year.

11. Any popular vine you can think of became part of our vocabulary this year (fleek, what are those?!, h** don't do it).

12. An emoji became the dictionary's word of the year.

13. Donald Trump said more inappropriate comments than the ones made at his own Comedy Central Roast.

14. Kanye got on stage at the VMAs and announced his run for presidency in 2020.

15. Madonna kissed Drake. And he liked it (not really, not at all!).

16. "Star Wars" officially took over our lives and anything else that was marketable within this galaxy.

17. "Parks and Rec" had their series finale.

18. The Bill Cosby rape scandal was revealed.

19. And Charlie Sheen admitted to being HIV positive.

20. DJ Khaled preached more on his snap chat than Pope Francis on his tour of the US most important cities.

21. Plus he taught us egg whites, chicken sausage and water is the breakfast they don't want us to eat, which is why we should eat it.

22. Tons and tons of refugees searched for escape and shelter as Europe panicked.

23. Angela Merkel was named Time magazine's person of the year.

24. Meanwhile David Beckham was named sexiest man of the year.

25. Bruce Jenner, once the greatest male athlete alive, became a woman.

26. Kylie Jenner was the most liked Kardashian on Instagram.

27. Gay marriage was legalized nation-wide on June 26.

28. Cookie had no chill when it came to her infamous snappy comebacks. Right Booboo kitty?

29. And finally, that damn dress nearly destroyed my eyesight and the rest of my sanity. (It was gold and white, I'm sure of it.)

I don't know about you, but I can't wait to see what 2016 has in store!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
