2015 is coming to a close. New Year's is always a time of reminiscing over the past year. While 2015 had many ups in the pop culture world, as always in this day and age, social media led to many stories becoming annoying. Here's just a few annoying moments from the past year, in no specific order:

Zayn leaving One Direction

The world seemed to almost end when One Direction member, Zayn Malik, decided to abandon the group. Teenage girls could be heard crying all across the world when the news dropped. Since then, the band has released their fifth album without Zayn and are currently taking a break for up to two years. It seems that this is only the beginning of the end for One Direction.

The Dress

Back in February, this photo was posted online asking people if it was black and blue or white and gold. The photo went viral when people were seeing the dress differently. Social media became extremely annoying during this period of time.

"Fifty Shades of Grey"

"Fifty Shades of Grey" is a book series that now has four books to its name. The first edition was turned into a movie and released in the beginning of the year. The movie brought light to some scandalous topics and was a huge hit despite its terrible plot line.

Saint West

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West had their second child just a few weeks ago. Daughter, North West, brought havoc to the media with her strange name. The Kardashian/West family did however outdo it this time by naming their son "Saint," causing every human being to roll their eyes in agony.

Trump

Literally every word out of Trump's mouth has been annoying and stupid.

Kylie Jenner lip challenge

Kylie Jenner is known for her "large" lips and many speculate some form of plastic surgery was used. Social media took it upon themselves to try to recreate her lips by putting their lips inside a glass until they looked like they were having an allergic reaction and realized this was a stupid idea.

Starbucks red cups

Starbucks releases holiday cups each November. This year's plain red cups upset many via social media who claimed that Starbucks was "anti-Christmas" for not including any Christmas or winter symbols in the cups this year. Honestly, Starbucks is amazing either way, so who really cares?

Watch me whip

This has to be the most annoying song to date. If you don't know the dance, here is Jimmy Fallon demonstrating for you.

Bieber's blond hair

Justin Bieber has finally made a comeback and he's better than ever....except for his hideous hair. At least his face is still looking hot as ever.

Hover boards

This phenomena has spread far and wide throughout the year. The couple-hundred-dollar hover boards can now be seen almost anywhere you go. Unfortunately, they're known to catch fire. This is just another thing to make people even lazier.

Kanye 2020

As annoying as this was when Kayne West announced it during an award show, could he really be any worse than Trump?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
