We all know life can become a whirlwind in no time at all. If you don't take a minute for yourself, you will end up in a never-ending cycle of stress. Learn to care for yourself, and you can start with this list of ways to shower yourself in the love that you deserve! Hopefully then, you will be one step closer to living your best life.

1. Put yourself first.

No exceptions.

2. Wake up early.

Do it! You will have much more time to get things done. It is the greatest thing you can do to increase your productivity. And, hey, you can always take a nap later!

3. Eat a good breakfast.

When people say it's the most important meal of the day, they're right! It gives your metabolism a jump-start to put you on track for a healthy and positive day.

4. Drink plenty of water.

It may not seem very important, but I can assure you that you will notice a difference in the way you feel!

5. Move.

In any way that suits you: run, walk, bike, dance. And at any time of the day. Just move.

6. Think good thoughts about yourself.

It matters not what others think of you. Even if they think very highly of you, it will not benefit you in any way if you do not feel the same for yourself. Practice positive self-talk and focus on the things you love about yourself. And most importantly, don't be too hard on yourself, because everyone experiences insecurity and doubt.

7. Do eat when you’re hungry; do not eat when you are not hungry.

Regardless of socially constructed meal times, what matters more than anything is listening to what your body is telling you. That is the most important clock you have!

8. Put your phone out of sight for at least an hour each day.

We're all a little to addicted to our phones. Take the time to be more present in your real life, rather than the one inside of a screen. See how your happiness and relationships improve.

9. Dress in the way which makes you most comfortable.

Dress good, feel good!

10. Laugh!

I hope this is a no-brainer.

11. Tell your loved ones that you love them.

Every day. You never know if you're going to be promised tomorrow.

12. Practice appreciation and gratitude each day.

For the good and the bad that happen- which both shape you into the human you are constantly becoming.

13. Explore nature.

And let it humble you. There is no greater feeling than that of standing before the ocean, or from experiencing the view from the top of a mountain.

14. Meditate.

In any way that suits you. A long walk, peaceful yoga, sitting on the floor with your legs crossed and your mind open. There is no right way to do it.

15. Listen to music.

It can do anything you need it to do- calm you, wake you up, reassure you, or pump you up when you need it most.

16. Cry.

Seriously, you need to cry. Don’t bottle anything up- or it will reveal itself later in a larger and more evil way.

17. Be kind.

When you are kind to others, you invite more peace into your life. And you will most likely end up being kinder to yourself.

18. Stop to smell the roses.

There is beauty around every bend. The most precious and amazing moments in life are unexpected.

19. Learn at least one new thing per week.

It can be anything: a song, a skill, a hobby, a sport. Just think of how many new things you will know in a year!

20. Treat yourself!

You won’t stay sane without following this one. Whether it be with food, shoes, concert tickets, etc., you must treat yourself. Because, hey, you’re doing pretty great.

Your world is opening up. But it all starts with you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
