Being an introvert comes along with a handful of myths that most people tend to believe. So here are 20 truths behind most introverts.
1. If you may think we are just quiet people, you’re wrong. We seem really quiet because the people we may be around are ten times louder than we are. It really becomes overwhelming.
2.We like one-on-one time to really connect with a person.
3. We are not anti-social, we like to hang out with people as much as extroverts do, we just would rather have it in small intervals and with people we know really well.
4. We are NOT depressed. Just because we seem to be alone a lot doesn’t mean we aren’t happy. We actually enjoy the alone time we given.
5. Usually take what we say in a conversation, like the answer to a question you ask us, and realize that we thought around a thousand other answers but only said one because we got nervous.
6. If you want to truly understand an introvert and get to know them better, do not interrupt us when we talk. Typically, we are soft-spoken and only talk when needed.
7. We are incredibly loyal, that’s why you may see us only having a small group of friends. We prefer quality or quantity.
8. Being silent doesn’t make us shy.
9. Some of us really love to meet new people but never know how to start a conversation.
10. Were not rude, we are just very awkward at times.
11. Silence sometimes calms our souls; everyone needs a little downtime.
12. Introverts are some of the most observant people you meet. While you think we are being anti-social, what we are really doing is analyzing you, deciding whether or not to approach you to be your friend.
13. We are more than just “quiet,” we are passionate about our hobbies and creative outlooks.
14. We are okay with ourselves. We are confident in who we are and all we need is for you to accept us, not question us.
15. Just because we don’t react to something doesn’t mean we didn’t notice.
16. Sometimes we just don’t want to hang out; we just want to do our introvert thing.

17. Don’t underestimate us. We know more than we say and notice things more than you may realize.
18. Quiet people have the absolute loudest minds that are constantly going.
19. People say we don’t like to talk, but that’s false. We love to talk to people, but we hate small talk; we prefer in-depth/personal conversations.
20. Talk to us! 9 times out of 10, we want to approach you and talk to you, but are too busy over analyzing in our heads. So if you’re an extrovert, please approach us, you won’t regret it.
