Recently I've been having a tough time in school. It's that time of year where everyone is overwhelmed and everyone has different ways of dealing with it. For some, going out to a party is an easy way to relax and be happy, but for others they need time to do something for themselves.

Here are 20 tips for happiness are little ways to make any day better:

1. Diffuse essential oils.

Buy an oil diffuser and there will be an oil to diffuse for ever moment of your life. Lemon/grapefruit and peppermint are great for uplifting spirits.

2. Wear a new perfume.

Your body quickly becomes accustomed to wearing the same perfume everyday. If you put a new one on you will smell it all day. Clinique's Happy is one of my favorites to wear when I need something "new," it really does make me happy!

3. Put on a sing along playlist.

Fun and upbeat songs are great to sing and dance to, or even listen to while on your way to class. Spotify's Songs to Sing in the Shower is one of my favorites.

4. Smile.

It "tricks" your body into thinking you really are happy!

5. Take a fitness class.

A fun fitness class that you enjoy will get your body moving and release dopamine which is a chemical that makes you feel happy. It is also a great way to forget about something that is stressing you. Barre is a new favorite class of mine.

6. Eat breakfast.

Take an extra five minutes in the morning to eat something. Try some fruit, eggs and toast, or try this overnight blueberry oats. Paired with a glass of orange juice, you've fueled your body and are ready for the day!

7. Buy yourself a pick-me-up

You deserve that coffee or cookie or anything in between!

8. Take time away from your phone.

Social media is a source of stress for many, make it a goal for yourself to avoid social media for a period of time each day.

9. Organize or clean.

For many, organizing something can make you feel accomplished and more in control. Pick one room or area of your life to organize.

10. Spend time in the sun.

Pets have the right idea, sometimes all you need is a little vitamin D.

11. Drink a cup of tea.

A relaxing cup of tea can be a great way to unwind at the end of the day. Just like essential oils, different types of teas have different benefits for your body.

12. Remember no one is perfect.

You are unique and no one is perfect, don't compare yourself to others.

13. Watch a comedian.

A good laugh can easily make you feel better. Check out these Netflix comedians if you need one to watch.

14. Write in a journal.

Write down the good and the bad from your day, or go online and find some journaling prompts.

15. Plan something to look forward to.

Whether it be a weekend visit home, a trip to the nail salon or even a vacation, give yourself something to look forward to.

16. Take vitamins.

Sometimes all your body wants is those extra vitamins you're not getting, take a multi-vitamin to improve your overall health.

17. Eat a healthy snack.

Eat some berries, almonds or yogurt. Eating something healthy will make you feel good.

18. Drink water.

Make a point to drink a certain amount of water a day, your body will thank you. An easy way to do that is to make a water bottle like this one!

19. Take an epsom salt bath.

There are many benefits to epsom salts including reduced stress and drawing toxins out of the body.

20. Go for a walk.

Discover a new place along your way, find a garden, park, coffee shop or museum you've never been to and spend some time there.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
