20 Thoughts While Moving Back Down To College
Danielle Balint

After a very exhausting couple days of moving all of my stuff down to college, I officially decided I am never moving again. In all it wasn't that much stuff, two couches, two small tables, my bed and box spring, a desk, and the other necessities for living. Loading everything up took about three hours, then I drove a UHaul by myself for two hours, and then unloaded everything again. I was awful, I told my roommates that I am never moving out. There was many different thoughts running threw my head during those couple days.

1. This sucks

2. Why didn't I bring that from home?

3. I truly don't remember packing this

4. I'm never moving anywhere ever again

5. I'm sweating

6. Its not going to fit threw the door

7. Seriously how it that just work?

8. Where did all these clothes come from?

9. I need more containers

10. Look, another bag of shoes

11. Those window shades are ugly

12. I'm running to Walmart because I left something at home, y'all need anything?

13. I swear I put all my clothes away, how is there another bag

14. Where should I put this?

15. Hey I've been looking for those shorts all summer

16. The living room looks nice with everything in it

17. Finally everything has a place

18. Just kidding another pair of shoes

19. Alright guys I think we're officially settled in

20. LET'S HAVE A GREAT YEAR

Thank you to my amazing mother, and room mates for helping me move everything. Definitly couldn't have done it without you. I don't about you guys reading this, but I told my mom that I would be living with her forever.

Never again will I be willing to move everything for school!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
