As soon as you hit the age of 18, you're officially an adult. You can enlist in the army, buy cigarettes, move out on your own, and be your own person.

It's terrifying, but let me tell you, it gets worse when you creep into your 20s. Suddenly, you're graduated and you have no idea how to do taxes and other things that are considered "adulting." That's okay because you're not alone! Many of us feel the same way and we latch on to people who are in similar situations as us so that it's easier to relate to them.

I, on the other hand, relate WAY too much to a fictional character, Titus Andromedon from Netflix's "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt." Here are 20 Signs you're toughing life out as told by Titus from "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt":

1. You're doing everything possible to get to where you need to be and people start judging.

2. Your way of living life is a little unconventional compared to others.

3. You try to be a model citizen and help as much as you can, but then you remember:

4. "YOU HAVE TO DO YOUR TAXES."- Parents

5. You've applied to countless jobs today and you're overwhelmed, but your family expects you to do more.

6. You go in for an important interview and you're not sure how it went.

7. Checking your bank account is scarier than your mother yelling your full name.

8. Feeling like you should go to the doctor, but your health insurance is terrible, so you hope that you're not dying.

9. You have way too many cheat days and you can't help yourself.

10. You've had three emotional breakdowns in one month.

11. When a company actually hires you and you start to feel good about yourself.

12. When you put on your resume that you're bilingual and the employer starts talking to you in another language.

13. Your friends are constantly asking you to go out even though you told them you're in your pajamas.

14. "You have to move out."

15. You start finding gray hairs and tiny wrinkles on your face.

16. Your topics of discussion and your interests start to reveal your age.

17. When your friends remind you that if you don't stick to your diet, you'll feel bad about yourself.

18. The only time you feel smart and cultured is when the discussion of wine comes up.

19. When you and your friends discuss how tough life can be.

20. Coming to the realization you have to be an adult for the rest of your life.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
