When you have a huge family like mine, there’s are few things that happen every time you all get together.

1. You take up an entire pew at Easter and Christmas service.

2. When someone asks you: “Doing anything fun this weekend?” Your response is usually “I’m so excited, I have family coming into town!”

3. Your pants don’t fit after family gatherings. When we say we eat all day…we eat alllllll day.

4. No matter how old you get, the kids table will always be your home.

5. You’re used to loud. Clapping, yelling, singing, laughing, talking over each other…loud.

6. You can’t wait for the holidays to come around every year.

7. You’ve mastered your answer to “how’s college?”

8. You’re no stranger to physical contact.

9. Yes. That’s probably lipstick on my cheek.

10. You relate to “My Big Fat Greek Wedding.”

11. You’ve learned how to eat quickly before the food runs out.

12. Who am I kidding… the food never runs out.

13. There’s at least two grocery store runs per day.

14. If you’re one of the oldest, you basically became a babysitter the day you become a big cousin.

15. When you’re in a bad mood, at least fifteen people have to ask you what’s wrong.

16. You’re used to squeezing your way through a crowded kitchen.

17. You crave Grammy’s meatballs every day, but you only get them twice a year.

18. You get way too excited for weddings, graduations, and family vacations.

19. When the priest says "Let us offer one another a sign of peace" you have about twenty people to hug and kiss.

20. You wouldn’t trade your crazy family for the world.
