Welcome to your 20's! These are going to be some of the BEST years of your life! Along with some challenges and a lot of personal growth, you are going to want to embrace every single moment of your 20's! Maybe you are in college pursuing a career you are passionate about? Perhaps you are traveling around the world and seeing the world's most beautiful sites? You maybe even working your dream career or at an internship? No matter what you are doing right now, just know that it keeps getting better! You do not have to feel like your entire life has to be planned out right this second.

Your early 20's are for failures, fun, and plenty of "live and learn" moments! It's okay if you are still single and it's okay if you are even married. No matter what, your 20s are about YOU!

Here's a list of things to remember in your early 20's:

1. You have to start somewhere. A crappy low-paying job, crummy apartment, bad roommate(s), etc.

2. Becoming self-aware is probably the best thing ever!

3. Boys ARE NOT a priority.

4. Make yourself happy first, but don't be selfish about it. (Well, sometimes be selfish.)

5. It's okay to say, "no" The word "no" doesn't require any further explanation.

6. Your friends will show their true colors sooner or late. "Some will stay, some will go."

7. Lipstick CAN empower you!

8. Be professional but also have fun!

9. Build your own empire. At the end of the day, you have to have your own back sister!

10. Mental health is just as important, if not more important than physical health.

11. Eat the salad, but also eat the cheesecake.

12. It's okay to be like, "What the heck am I doing with my life?"

13. It's OKAY to be single!

14. Your story is different than everyone's else's.

15.You're more powerful than you think.

16. Be wise beyond your years!

17. ALWAYS moisturize! Premature wrinkles? Not today!

18. Better yourself every single day!

19. Hard work pays off!

20. Treat yourself, but also be smart with your money.

Enjoy your 20's, they do not last forever!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
