1. Challenge yourself to a cook-off with just the food you have in your kitchen.

It's not everyday you can pretend to be on an episode of Chopped.

2. Binge watch YouTube tutorials.

I have found myself recently watching more YouTube videos, and let me say I am absolutely hooked. It is the perfect place to go when there is nothing on T.V. or you have watched everything on Netflix. There are thousands of videos posted everyday just waiting for your viewership so I suggest giving it a shot. If you are unsure where to start, just click the trending page!

3. Break out an old board game.

Who doesn't love Candyland, Shoots and Ladders, Monopoly or Clue.

4. Clean your room and donate any unwanted items.

I'm sure you have plenty of clothes you haven't worn in over six months. Look through your stuff and consider taking them to a shelter or the Salvation Army.

5. Volunteer.

Whether it is at your local hospital, retirement home, animal shelter or soup kitchen, you should always give back to your community in any way you can. It always warms my heart to see the smile on someone's face when you make a difference in their life.

6. Get up, and get active.

When the weather is nice in the summer, there is no reason to stay inside. Running, biking, swimming or hiking are perfect options that are friendly to your wallet. Who says you have to join a gym to be happy and healthy?

7. Find a friend with a kayak or canoe.

If you can find a friend with a kayak or a canoe and you have a lake nearby, you just found yourself an entire day's worth of activities. If you do not know anyone with either, you can easily rent them for a small fee.

8. Go on a picnic.

Make some PB&J sandwiches, grab your checkered blanket and find a cozy spot in a park nearby.

9. Check out a free museum.

If your city has any free museums downtown, take advantage of the opportunity. You can also check to see if any local museums have any student discounts.

10. Attend a festival.

Summer is the time for festivals and fun! Research what events are going on in your hometown and grab a friend to check them out.

11. Go camping.

Get in touch with nature and sleep in a new setting for a few nights.

12. Go on a road trip with friends.

As long as you have some money for gas and food, grab some friends and take a day trip. No destination is required!

13. Explore your hometown.

Get lost in your streets and discover the hidden gems of your city.

14. Upcycle some of your old clothing or home items.

Don't recycle, upcycle! Make your old clothes into something creative and new.

15. Make your own slip n' slide.

A tarp, water and soap will work just fine.

16. Watch the sunset.

We get so busy rushing around and stressing out about our daily lives that we forget to stop and appreciate the little things in life.

17. Spend time with friends or family you do not see often.

Has it been a while since you have talked to your grandparents? Give them a call! Are you missing an old friend from high school? Send them a text and ask when they are free!

18. Have a mini spa day with DIY products.

There are hundreds of recipes all over the internet for DIY hair and face masks you can make with household ingredients. They are cheap, free of any harsh chemicals and fun to do with all your friends!

19. Find a new hobby.

Juggling is always a good option. If that doesn't sound interesting enough, here is a list of some other hobbies you can try.

20. Make a wish in a fountain and hope you win the lottery.

Hey, it's worth a shot!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
