I first started drinking coffee in middle school. What’s not to love? The aroma, the bitter yet sometimes sweet taste, and the many different options. I soon realized that my morning was not complete without a fresh cup of coffee made perfectly. Luckily, the popular brand of Dunkin’ Donuts has made my addiction all too real. Most people who know me know that their coffee is the clear way to my heart and that Dunkin’ Donuts has been one of my real true loves (along with Jesus, of course). Their love will never let me down, never run away, never cease to warm my heart and soul with all of its goodness. I mean, really, are there many other things that you can say that about? If you’re anything like me, here are 20 things that happen if Dunkin’ Donuts is one of your true loves.

1. You literally cannot get out of bed at an early time unless you know Dunkin’ will be in your hands very soon. If my mom wants me to be ready to go early, the promise of my favorite coffee is always used as bribery. Always.
2. You always seem to have a million gift cards. If someone needs to get you a gift, they basically know what to get you since they know it will be useful and make you really happy. Currently, I have seven Dunkin’ Donuts gift cards and multiple coupons in my purse so I have them at all times. People really just know how to win me over (it’s so obvious).
3. Garbage cans in your house are constantly filled with those brown bags that were once filled with goodies, straw wrappers, and cups.
4. You know the exact cost of your usual order and can usually list the costs of other things on the menu, just in case you randomly decide you want something else.
5. Those who are most near and dear to you know what your favorites are. Whether they like to surprise you with it or they’re just with you every time you order it, they know all about your love. My boyfriend loves poking fun at my usual order and knows exactly what I like and don’t like. Clearly, he knew the way to my heart from day one.
6. You have their shirts, cups, mugs, and even Christmas ornaments. If they sell it as memorabilia, you probably have it.
7. If you can, other parts of your life are often also consumed by Dunkin’. As a communications major, I sometimes have to study corporations and social media accounts. I always choose to study Dunkin’, and have written tons of papers about them. They even asked to use my work for a video! I love writing about my favorite company and learning about more than just their coffee.
8. The app is one of the most frequently used things on your phone. If you don’t have it already, I highly recommend getting it. The coupons, menu lists, and ease of storing gift cards make my frequent coffee stops so much easier and rewarding.
9. You know the local workers by name and they usually can start making your order before you even tell them what you want. I love the lady who works the morning drive-thru at my local restaurant and her pep has brightened up so many of my mornings!
10. When you go on vacation or are traveling, it’s always important to know where the nearest Dunkin’ is because withdrawals always occur. When in need, nothing will do other than the perfection that you’re used to. I love it when I go to new places and find tons of options and feel like my needs and cravings will always be taken care of.
11. If you see a crazy or fun restaurant, the excitement is SO REAL. I recently traveled with my sisterhood and stumbled upon a two-story Dunkin’ . . . and I cried. That kind of magic is something that you just don’t see every day. Within minutes, the discovery was on Instagram, Snapchat, and I had even called my mom to tell her. When it comes to my love, it doesn’t take much for me to be overwhelmingly excited.
12. Their ways of intriguing customers never fail. This year, I bought someone a donut box filled with K-cups as a Christmas gift and it was such a hit! They also have tons of Christmas decorations and many other surprises for customers all year long. They never fail to help me spread my love and share the goodness with others. If I ever need a gift for someone, DD is usually my go-to place to shop.
13. Dunkin’ Donuts always has tons of different flavors to choose from. My favorite this time of year is peppermint mocha, but most of the time I love the hazelnut swirl. Besides those, though, they have cookie flavors and fruity drinks for all different times of the year. With so many things to choose from, there’s always something new to try and your taste buds will always thank you.
14. If I ever need a reason to get together with my friends and loved ones, Dunkin’ is always the answer. I love having Dunkin’ Dates with my mom and I usually see one or two coworkers every morning before work when I get my coffee. Sometimes I even surprise my friends and pick up their favorite drinks or some donuts. DD is always perfect for gatherings.
15. Dunkin’ Donuts allows fans to celebrate with them. For example, those in Central PA can get a free medium coffee the Monday after a winning Penn State game using their app. It’s so much fun to root for my favorite team knowing I could get my favorite coffee for free, too!
16. When you go to someone’s house, and they know you fairly well, they usually get Dunkin’ to make just for you. When I go to a friend’s house, they usually have their coffee waiting for me since they know it will make me completely ecstatic.
17. If you really love Dunkin’, you probably enjoy eating breakfast foods no matter what time of the day it is. I can easily eat a bagel or a wake-up wrap for dinner and be completely happy. My favorite foods are available all day and I can eat any meal there.
18. No matter how many ads you see or cups you drink a day, you still get extremely excited when you see Dunkin’ Donuts product placement or an ad for them on a TV show or live event. On New Year’s Day, I saw Dunkin’ being advertised as a sponsor for a hockey game. I was SO excited! A few days before that I saw it being advertised in Times Square. I just love anything to do with my favorite coffee.
19. You have seasonal choices that change all-year long. In the warm summery months, I usually go for my regular iced coffee or a Coolatta, and sometimes a donut or bagel. If it’s cold, however, hot coffee or a seasonal-flavored latte make me melt. My favorite things at Dunkin’ vary based on the time of year, but I always have so many options to pick from!
20. No matter what your day is like, the first sip will always put a smile on your face and warm your soul. The smooth flavors are enough to make any day great and isn’t even complete without Dunkin’ Donuts.
