College is hard, but we all get through it, somehow. At this point, I could have a Bachelor of Science in "college." Here are the 20 things you learn when you go to college.
1. After switching rooms several times due to horrible roommates, you've become a master packer.
2. You now define "packing" as getting garbage bags and throwing as much as you can in them.
3. You've discovered that pizza is an acceptable form of payment.
4. You've become a journalist, scientist or even an anime fan just to get that free pizza at the monthly club meeting.
5. Your dating life has turned into this mad game of seeing how many pictures of dogs are in their Tinder profile.
6. And when you do get asked out, it's always to go get some Chinese and watch Netflix. Cool.
7. You've started questioning the qualities that attracted your perfect, three-year-long high school boyfriend. Like, where did that me go?
8. And when you do see happy couples, you've now resorted to making overdramatic vomiting sounds and falling over on the sidewalk, just for kicks.
9. "The day before" has become the timeline for most, if not all, projects, assignments and presentations.
10. You stopped worrying about showering every day. If the rest of the dorm won't, why should you?
11. Dry shampoo, please reference number 10.
12. If there is a coffee shop that puts their drip coffee separate from the counter, it's almost a guarantee to fill up your cup, even it was from yesterday.
13. You've considered, if not done this, taking your empty milk jug and filling up at the campus dining area.
14. The dining area has provided you with forks, knives, spoons and cups.
15. You've considered dating your best guy friend and then quickly reconsidered.
16. You now have a couple of different marriage pacts, just in case.
17. You reference to "adulting" as if its some sort of twisted game that the people that are out of college play every single day.
18. You stop feeling bad about deleting people that were your friends on Facebook after they've all but put the body wrap on you that they're trying to sell. I hate those wraps.
19. You've learned to just delete social media all together, in an effort to avoid the "I got engaged to my best friend!" and the "Guess whose oven has a bun in it?!" posts.
20. But most of all, you've learned that you've got the best friends you could ever ask for.
These are the people that won't ever leave, even if you're five states away, because in a few years they'll act like they just saw you yesterday. You won't ever regret anything you did, any all nighter you pulled or any random guy from that one class you dated. Because in the end, it's all about the memories that you've made and the experiences you've shared and the love you felt.
