It's difficult enough being young in this era, but it's even more difficult being young with the heart and mind of an old person. Most other people your age can't seem to understand or appreciate your unique old soul, which is totally fine because being old before your time is what makes you, you.
1. Young people exhaust you.
Was I as loud and obnoxious when I was that age? God, I hope not.
2. You get excited when you find a new book to read.
There is nothing better than lighting a few candles and plopping yourself down on the couch to get lost in a story.
3. You think old movies are better than new movies.
Even though the special effects are lacking, the stories seem more genuine.
4. You would rather cook a meal than order take-out.
Sure, ordering food is easier, but it's much more rewarding to make your own creation (even if it ends up sucking).
5. You don't quite understand hook-up culture.
Do I want to drunkenly make-out with a different person every night? No, not particularly.
6. On birthdays and Christmas, you ask for "practical" gifts.
If you're not actually going to use it, don't ask your family/friends to spend their money on it.
7. You're an overly cautious driver.
Wear your seatbelt and go the speed limit. End of story.
8. People make fun of you for always having to do the "right" thing.
If your way is going to land me in jail, then yes, we should definitely listen to me instead.
9. You would much rather stay in on the weekends than go out.
Just because you're in college does not mean you are required to attend frat parties.

But, really, is this even up for debate?
11. You struggle with technology on a daily basis.
Even using PowerPoint is difficult sometimes.

Everyone should try being awake for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at least once.

If it's rainy and cold, you can bet you'll find me in layers of warm sweaters and clunky rain boots.
14. Social media stresses you out.
My life is not nearly exciting enough to post about everyday.

Sorry my ears bleed every time I have to listen to basically any rap song.

17. You have had to Google slang words more than you'd care to admit.
Example- I didn't understand the meaning of "fam" until just recently.
18. You're a homebody.
It's okay to not socialize. Sometimes.
19. You don't care about material things.
Life should be measured in moments and experiences not things.
20. You think logically about the consequences of almost every situation.
If something bad could potentially happen, you probably won't do it.
