20 Signs Your Cousins Are Your Best Friends

We've all heard the expression, "blood is thicker than water," and for you and your cousins, this couldn't be more true. Here are 20 signs your cousins are your best friends.

1. You all have been best friends since day one. From the second they were born, you have stuck by each other through thick and thin. This friendship has been rivaled by no other because it has stood the test of time.

2. You are each other's rocks. No matter how bad your day is going, you know you can always go to each other and everything will be better.

3. They stand up for you. It doesn't matter how scary or seemingly insignificant the situation, you know they will back you up 100%, even if it would get them into trouble as well.

4. You can give each other "the look" and know exactly what the other is thinking. This makes for the best inside jokes at any function.

5. They have gone through the same things as you, at the same time. You all have an extra special connection because you experienced loss, joy, and pretty much every other emotion you can think of, together.

6. You all have such a close bond, you can almost feel when something is wrong with them. You regularly receive, "Are you okay? I got that feeling again." texts and calls from each other.

7. They understand your family drama. There's is never a need to explain it or apologize for anything. You all help each other through the tough situations like no one else ever could.

8. They have seen you at your best and worst, held you when you cried and smiled with you when you laughed. They accept you in every form.

9. When you were kids, the younger of you all never had a need to speak. You always knew what they needed and spoke for them. Even into adulthood, this still holds true. Sometimes we don't always have the strength to articulate what we need in that moment, but you know your cousin always can.

10. No one is allowed to talk bad about them, and if someone tries, world war 3 is about to break out.

11. They have known you for so long that they know all of your quirks and still love you. You can be your complete self with them.

12. You talk all the time about your future children growing up best friends like you did. You cannot wait for the day that their children will call you Auntie or Uncle, because let's face it, you are more like siblings anyway.

13. When you get a new significant other, you want their approval over anyone else's because they always have your best interest at heart.

14. If someone has done something bad to one of you, the other knows and does not like them. You never have to worry because you know they will always be on your side.

15. They are always the first to know your secrets and never judge you for anything you tell them.

16. You all were always sick at the same time because you were together so often. That meant that you got to stay home from school together and get better. Sharing is caring, after all.

17. You always tried crazy things when you were together. Walking around in that nasty pond water? Driving down that really creepy road? Going ghost hunting in that abandoned house? Yep, these are all things that sounded completely safe when they were around.

18. No one else will ever understand the glory in the words, "We are going to Nana's house Sunday!" like they do.

19. No one else will ever be able to calm you down in a heated situation, or make you have a fashion show at 2am when you are in a bad mood like they can.

20. You all are cousins by blood, siblings by bond, and best friends by choice. There will never be another person in your life that could ever replace them.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
