1. Time will truly heal almost anything.

No matter how bad and awful you feel right now, time will heal all wounds. And it is okay to take all the time you need to feel better.

2. It is okay and normal to feel the way you feel.

You are human and have emotions, of course it is okay for everything you feel. It is not weird or abnormal.

3. You are far more capable than you think.

We tend to put ourselves down way too much. You need to realize that you have everything you need within yourself and accomplish anything you set your mind to.

4. Everything truly happens for a reason.

There is a reason and plan for why things happen the way they do. Either way, every event that happens in your life will be a blessing or a lesson.

5. Don't be angry about anything that's happening. It won't help.

Let go of the anger and resentment because it is only going to make things harder on yourself.

6. Tomorrow is a new day.

“Isn't it nice to think that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet?”

- L.M. Montgomery

7. “The past can hurt, but the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it” – The Lion King

We can always learn a lot from the best movie ever.

8. You're going to do big things.

Keep grinding and some amazing opportunities are coming your way.

9. Don't take your life for granted; it is special and beautiful.

Please realize and understand that you are valuable and important. Appreciate all days, whether good or bad.

10. Just think of what Blair Waldorf would do in your situation.

Ask yourself, "What would Blair Waldorf do?"

11. Go out and get all the snacks, chocolate, and ice cream you want.

Trust me, the goodies will make you feel better.

12. Don't keep it all to yourself, talk to someone and open up to them.

You cannot keep it all bottled up because then it's just going to make it harder on yourself. Go and talk to anyone you trust and let them in.

13. It’s not a crime to take a day off from reality and have a day to yourself.

Take a break. You owe it to yourself!

14. You are becoming a stronger person.

Every obstacle and experience you go through is shaping you into a stronger and better human being.

15. The most beautiful things you can get from life are free.

Make it a point to appreciate everything and everyone, no matter how big or how small.

16. This pain you're feeling is not your whole life.

Pain is fleeting and there will come a day where you will be nothing but happy.

17. There are many people in this world who love you infinitely.

Even if you may think there aren't people who care about you, you are wrong. I can promise you that you are loved endlessly.

18. A few years from now, you will think back to these days and be grateful you had them.

Although you may not see why it had to happen now, eventually you will.

19. You don't need a reason to be sad. You are human.

You don't need to feel like your sadness isn't anything. You are allowed to feel whatever, whenever.

20. Don't worry, everyone has bad days. You are never alone.

There is not one person living on Earth who hasn't also had a bad day!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
