20 Reasons I'm Glad You're My Best Friend

To all the best friends out there…

  1. You have amazing fashion sense
  2. I can eat like an animal with you and you never judge
  3. You actually tell me if you don’t like what I’m wearing so I don’t make a fool out of myself
  4. You’re my wing woman at every social event ever
  5. You let me borrow all of your clothes, and by borrow I mean give back at the end of the year (maybe)
  6. You let me come up with crazy nicknames for legit everyone and you always use them properly
  7. I can sing at the top of my lungs in your car and you never tell me to be quiet
  8. You know what I’m thinking with one look
  9. You let me talk about that one boy over and over and over again and never complain
  10. Even when I make horrible decisions, you still find it in your heart to love me
  11. You make me laugh more than anyone else can
  12. Anyone who’s hurt me you automatically hate, no questions asked
  13. No screaming matches, hysterical crying or just plain old fights make you run for the hills
  14. You know what triggers me and my anxiety and you do everything you can to keep me away from these things
  15. I know that if I ever really needed someone you’d always be there - no questions asked
  16. You’ve helped me learn how to love myself
  17. You support anything I say I want to try and you mean it
  18. There is no awkwardness between us (even if it gets quiet)
  19. You remind me how blessed I am
  20. I know you’ll be my friend for the long term

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
