To all the best friends out there…

You have amazing fashion sense
I can eat like an animal with you and you never judge
You actually tell me if you don’t like what I’m wearing so I don’t make a fool out of myself
You’re my wing woman at every social event ever
You let me borrow all of your clothes, and by borrow I mean give back at the end of the year (maybe)
You let me come up with crazy nicknames for legit everyone and you always use them properly
I can sing at the top of my lungs in your car and you never tell me to be quiet
You know what I’m thinking with one look
You let me talk about that one boy over and over and over again and never complain
Even when I make horrible decisions, you still find it in your heart to love me
You make me laugh more than anyone else can
Anyone who’s hurt me you automatically hate, no questions asked
No screaming matches, hysterical crying or just plain old fights make you run for the hills
You know what triggers me and my anxiety and you do everything you can to keep me away from these things
I know that if I ever really needed someone you’d always be there - no questions asked
You’ve helped me learn how to love myself
You support anything I say I want to try and you mean it
There is no awkwardness between us (even if it gets quiet)
You remind me how blessed I am
I know you’ll be my friend for the long term

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
