With the new year's arrival we are tempted to create new, exciting, and optimistic resolutions. Although reaching for new goals is always healthy and motivating, these goals can sometimes be a little to unreachable. Therefore, causing only feelings of frustration and defeat. However, here are 20 realistic and beneficial goals to accomplish in 2017.

1. Eat breakfast everyday

2. Get more hours of sleep

3. Relax more (meditate, yoga, longs walks, etc.)

4. Drink more water (yes water)

5. Stop waiting for only the weekends to have some fun

6. Remember to recycle

7. Be more organized (keep a schedule)

8. Travel more (even exploring new places in your city)

9. Be present

10. Understand that it's okay to say "no"

11. Stop procrastinating

12. Pamper yourself once in a while

13. Spend more time with the people who make you happiest and less time with the people who don't

14. Be more thankful

15. Break bad habits

16. Take different routes to your usual locations

17. Call your family members more

18. Remember at times it is important to put yourself first

19. Be passionate about things you believe in (use your voice)

20. Embrace what life throws at you
