25 Things My Husband And I Are Guaranteed To Say To Each Other On A Daily Basis

Some things in life are predictable—my husband and I's daily conversations, for example—but that's OK! We've known each other for so long now that it's super easy to predict what the other person will say at a specific time of day. Here are the top 20 most common things we say to each other on a daily basis:

1. "Hey baby!"

We probably say this at least 100 times a day via text and in person...even if we have only been apart for five minutes.

2. "What should we do for supper?"

Because food is more important than we'd care to admit.

3. "Do you want to eat cookies?"

Cookies are our dessert of choice...at all times of the day...even if we've just eaten dinner.

4. "Do you want to take the bus back?"

Because sometimes walking sucks so bad that you just have to give in and take the bus.

5. "Do you want to work out or nah?"

I bet you can guess the answer to that!

6. "Netflix when we get back?"

And by that, we mean "do you want to binge watch 'Person of Interest' for the next four hours?"

7. "What time should we go to bed tonight?"

His answer: "Around midnight?"

My answer: "8 pm?"

8. "What time should we get up tomorrow?"

Unanimous answer: as late as possible, so set multiple alarms and prepare to snooze all of them.

9. "What should we do this weekend?"

And thus commences the planning of the weekend's festivities.

10. "Do you want to have a snack?"

I don't know...do cows produce milk? Do apples grow on trees?

11. "Did you pack the Germ-X?"

Because we are both germ freaks and sometimes the world is just nasty.

12. "Should we probably go to Wal-Mart sometime this week?"

Ah, the dreaded grocery store trip that is bound to drain our bank account.

13. "Can I borrow the ChapStick?"

Only if you promise not to drop it this time.

14. "Should we do homework?"

The answer is always "no."

15. "Do you want to eat chocolate with me?"

Because I keep chocolate on me at all times.

16. "Do you want to take a nap?"

I'm don't always take a nap, but when I do, I take a 5-hour nap for no reason in the middle of the day.

17. "We are never getting a minivan!"

Whenever we see someone driving a minivan around town, we always remind each other that we will never, ever buy one ourselves...ever.

18. "I miss my pets"

On-campus cats are the one thing that would instantly make college better.

19. "We should go volunteer at an animal shelter sometime and just walk dogs all day."

Because that would be fun!

20. "Do you want to get ice cream on the way home?"

There's almost nothing better than an ice-cold hot caramel and hot fudge sundae after a long day of classes.

21. "Can I borrow your hotspot, please?"

Even though we both have cell phones, it's sometimes just easier to borrow the other person's hotspot...especially when my husband's is somehow much better than mine.

22. "Remember that one time when we...?"

Because almost half of my life is made up of memories with my husband!

23. "What is the weather supposed to be like today?"

I'm not sure how my husband became the official meteorologist of our relationship, but it definitely works.

And a unanimous "YES!" resounds between the two of us.

25. "Do you still love me?"

Despite the occasional and funny hesitation, the answer is always yes!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
