If you're anything like me, you grew up watching the classic Disney movies. Your whole childhood consisted of pretending to be a real life prince or princess, or maybe even a talking animal character. Maybe you pretended your house was Pride Rock, or maybe you reenacted Ariel's giant wave scene on a rock in your yard. Maybe Disney movies gave you hope for your future life as a young adult. They made you believe that someday your prince will really come, and we really are all the same. Two worlds, one family, right? Disney movies weren't just fun to watch as a little kid; they taught us all very valuable life lessons that we will remember forever.
1. Don't trust everyone you meet.
2. Always believe in yourself.
3. You never really have to grow up (at least not in your heart).
4. The grass is always greener on the other side.
5. Turn your mistakes into life lessons.
6. Walk in the shoes of others to understand them.
7. Family isn't necessarily blood-related.
8. You can do anything you put your mind to.
9. Don't settle for anything less than you deserve.
10. Being in love means putting others before yourself.
11. Don't judge a book by its cover.
12. Family is everything.
13. True friends will stick with you through it all.
14. If you're kind, good karma will come your way.
15. You have to make your own decisions.
16. It's better to be an original than exactly like everyone else.
17. Telling the truth will do more good than bad.
18. Looks aren't everything.
19. Actions speak louder than words.
20. We're all apart of the circle of life.
Whether you grew up watching the beloved Disney classics or you showed them to your children, they have a special place in all of our hearts. No one can say they weren't heart broken when Mufasa died, or happy beyond belief when the Belle broke the spell. These movies are regarded as classics for a reason. They have taught us all one of the most important life lessons of all -- you're never too old for Disney.
