Sales for BooHoo, Tobi, and Lulus are skyrocketing right now. What are you going to wear to formal? Do you have three dresses already on the way for fall formal season? Yeah, same. As indecisive as we all are, the dresses end up being the easiest part. Once you know how good you're going to look... well, then comes time to find a date.

In all reality, I don't want to mention the other half of my non-existent duo until the day before formal–when it's basically too late. How does one speak to a boy, let alone bring up an invitation to a couple hours spent together? It's a struggle.

Are you smart, funny and charming, yet still without a clue of who to bring? With these steps, you'll be able to catch a boy (or a few) just in time for your formal.

1. Toss a "joke" of an invitation in a group chat and hope someone agrees to go with you.

2. Post things about formal on your Snapchat story in hopes that a guy will chat the story and ask to accompany you.

3. Agree to get set up with someone's friend from home because they're coming up for the weekend and are looking for something to do.

4. Tell a joke or two to a crowd, guys love funny girls.

5. Make a Tinder with "looking for a formal date" as your bio.

6. Send out a mass Snapchat and see who's the first to answer.

7. Decide no one will want to go with you so, in a weak moment, you ask your ex if he'd want to go as ~just friends~ then cry when he responds "lmao no."

8. Go out every night leading up to it in attempt to meet someone.

9. Use face masks and whitening strips every night in hopes of someone noticing how beautiful you are now that you have slightly clearer skin and vaguely whiter teeth.

10. Stand outside of the career fair and judge who looks best dressed in suits.

11. Pretend to be really drunk and ask someone. Later, claim you don't remember asking but let them be your date anyway because you apparently asked.

12. Realize that guys will always suck and just bring a girl.

13. Have your friend text him off your phone so if he says no you can say "sorry that was my friend."

14. Bribe them.

15. Send a Snapchat to your formal date from last year promising that this time around will go much better than before.

16. Consider going home that weekend.

17. "Accidentally" send them a Snapchat of you in your formal dress(es).

18. Have a friend offer you up to a group of random guys as a "joke" but also secretly hoping someone will go with you.

19. Harass all your girls who have boyfriends to get set up with one of his friends.

20. Or you can start acting like a mature adult and just ask them.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
