It only happens twice a year, and you really only have those two times a year to make sure that you do it right! Those two times a year can really determine how you will perform for the rest of the semester and while it’s mostly stressful, it also can be the most exciting and fun times of the year!

It’s that time of the year again...syllabus week!!!

Wouldn't it be amazing to run into the dreamy Troy Bolton again after a super fun New Years party? A girl can only dream...

But it's time to get your life together, once again. A new schedule, a new semester and new classes. You've promised yourself that this semester will be your semester! You're not going to miss a single class, and you're going to be present and awake in each class, with a positive attitude. You're going to actually hit up your professors office hours and most importantly, have fun! You feel like you're this whole new person, you have this whole new attitude and you're really just ready to rock this semester! Until you're hit with the harsh realities of syllabus week...

1. Moving back to campus...

Your parents are yet again dropping you off and you're just not having it... The reality of not being able to sleep in your bed, being away from your dog and not being able to eat decent meals anymore is really starting to hit you.

But lucky you: you've actually got friends at school!

2. The reunion with your bestie!

It's only been a few weeks, but you are so happy to be back with your college bestie/roomie/sister. You two have been making plans all break and now that you're back on campus, it's time to have some fun! But first, you have to deal with...

3. Unpacking

At least you made it to your room, right? Unpacking is literally the most dreadful thing in the world... You could just live out of your suitcase for a bit, or a while. But you know you're never going to get anywhere with the oh so 'productive' semester that you're trying to have, so you pretty much just suck it up.

4. The first dinner back at the infamous dining hall.

5. The first weekend back.

After a reunion with your squad, you've got to celebrate, right? So you celebrate and take some shots, forgetting that you have class in less than 36 hours.

6. Trying to get your schedule together and plan out your days for the rest of the semester...

7. Walking to your first class in your cutest outfit ever!

You've got to turn a few heads and make a statement!

8. Finding the best seat ever in the back of the classroom to start off the super awesome and productive semester that you want to have.

The front row life just isn't for ya...

9. The introductions.

That's literally all that they need to know...

10. Getting the syllabus for the class and thinking...

Like what is this? Why is it so thick? What's up with all this wasted paper? The professor really had this much time to type out this novel?! Oh my gosh, the amount of trees that were killed.

11. When the professor decides to start on course materials...

Like, can you not? It's called 'syllabus week' for a reason.

12. Receiving your first assignment from your professor.

Like, why?!?!?!!

13. Looking at your cart total on Amazon after adding all of your textbooks.

Shouldn't textbooks be free???

14. Realizing there isn't an attendance policy for the class.

15. So you decide to skip the next class.

Mental health days are so needed, right? It is syllabus week..

16. Going to your meeting with your advisor and realizing..

Because, like, you kinda are.

17. Finally returning your mom's phone calls only to have her ask you how your classes have been so far...

18. Realizing that spring break is too far away...

19. Realizing that you are so not ready for the semester.

You're literally a week into the new semester and it is already feeling like it's going to be a drag. The classes that you thought would be so amazing, are actually turning out to be nightmares and the brutal reality of college is once again kicking in. Sure, it's fun, but it's also a lot of work. Making the transition from vacation mode to school mode can be hard but it really just takes time to get adjusted to. So when you're feeling a little slumped and under the weather this semester, just remember to eat some chocolate, watch a Disney film and most importantly...

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
