Us single people know and understand that we're single. So why do people keep telling us things about being single? We are sick and tired of being told these things every time we talk to a family member, friend or even a stranger. We know we are "alone" and we don't need to be told.
1. Why are you single?
Uh, I don't know, maybe because I don't have a significant other? But that's just a guess.

I know I'm a catch and don't need to be reminded.

Well thank you for pointing out the obvious, I meet new people everyday.

Yea, and there's plenty of birds in the sky. I don't know why me being single has to do with animals in their natural habitat, but thanks for the environmental lesson.

I'm sorry that I won't lower my standards to fulfill your wants and needs.

Thank you for offering but I really don't care that your friends cousin found her soulmate on eHarmony.

Yes because going out and meeting new people is going to instantly get me someone to spend my life with.

I never asked for this and I don't want to do it, at all.

Number one, you shouldn't say that to anyone, and number two, you may think binge watching "Scandal" means I'm lonely, but it means I like action drama TV series, so goodbye.

Thank you for all your concerns, but us single people can handle our own and don't need to be told twice. We can be happy alone and have fun by ourselves. Being single isn't a taboo and should be embraced.
