17 Signs You're A Shopaholic

Hi, my name is ______, and I'm a shopaholic.

17 Signs You're A Shopaholic

When you were younger, you watched the movie "Confessions of a Shopaholic" and thought it was the most exaggerated storyline ever. Now, here you are, a few years later finding it to be exceptionally relatable and the most accurate portrayal of your life.

If you consider yourself a shopaholic, here are some things you can probably relate to:

1) You are a firm believer in retail therapy.

When you have a bad day there's nothing a little retail therapy can't fix!

2) You are probably in some form of debt (or close to it).

What's it even like to have money in your savings account? You'll never know.

3) You consider the mall your second home.

You probably go to the mall several times a week and feel like you're there more than your own home.

4) Your purse is filled with receipts.

Sometimes, you try to take a pen out from your purse and 10 receipts come flying out with it.

5) Online shopping is possibly the most dangerous thing ever invented... according to your bank account anyways.

You could be waiting 10 minutes for your bus and end up buying 3 new skirts and a new purse with just a click of a button. That's just a recipe for disaster.

6) You know all the employees by name at your favorite store, and if you’re lucky they know yours too.

The employees at your favorite store probably do a double-take every time you walk in and frequently ask "Do I know you? You look familiar."

7) You online shop so much that by the time your package arrives you forget what you even ordered.

I mean sometimes it takes over 2 weeks to ship. How am I supposed to remember what I ordered 2 weeks ago? I've made so many other purchases since then!

8) Your favorite 3 word phrase is: "There's a sale!"

Because then you can totally buy twice as much as you normally would but not feel as guilty.

9) You have enough shoes to fill an entire room top to bottom.

Those shoe organizers they sell at Bed Bath and Beyond would be no help to you, you have way too many shoes for that.

10) You consider shopping a workout.

There's a lot of power walking, and all while carrying a dozen heavy bags in your hands. So yeah, I'd say it counts as my cardio for the day.

11) You are constantly picking up extra shifts at work or have like 3 part-time jobs just to fuel your shopping addiction.

You're always working yet have no money. Welcome to the harsh reality of being a shopaholic.

12) Managing to fit everything into your closet is an art.

You probably even have your clothes in more than one closet, or a ton of storage bins under your bed.

13) You practically have your credit card number memorized from all the online shopping you do.

I couldn't tell you for the life of me my social security number, but if you ask me what my credit card number is I can recite it by memory no problem.

14) Whenever you and your friends hang out you always seem to find yourself at the mall.

There is no better hang-out place in town than the mall.

15) The Mall of America is on your travel bucket list.

Biggest mall in the country? Yeah, I could easily spend a week there.

16) Your shopping addiction isn’t just with clothes and accessories; it includes everything from food to room decor to just about anything.

You won't just find me shopping at Nordstrom's, but also Pottery Barn, Whole Foods, and the Dollar Store.

17) You know you have a serious addiction to shopping but you wouldn't change your shopping habits for the world! It makes you happy and that's all that matters!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
