Moving into college for the first time brings a mix of emotions and a test. The test is meeting a lot of people for the first time and hoping they don't think you're insane (or at least recognize that you're as insane as they are). The whole first week - syllabus week for classes, turn-up week for most returning students, and what-the-heck-do-I-do week for freshmen - can really feel like a year of its own. Here are some New Girl gifs to help those of you moving into college for the first time express your feelings about the whole situation.

1. Having doubts the moment you reach campus. This is normal and will pass (hopefully).

2. Those doubts going away, and overconfidence setting in to hide your anxiety.

3. Saying stuff like this out loud to show your new friends that these new places and faces really aren't phasing you (or just reassuring yourself).

4. Getting to know your roommate and not being very excited to live with them.

5. Worrying that you might be alone in this new journey because you haven't met the right new friends yet.

6. *No explanation needed*

7. Finding happiness with new friends you think you can actually get along with.

8. Giving up on trying to appear normal to everyone. Your new friends should accept you the way you are.

9. Going to the cafeteria for the first time and feeling... less than impressed.

10. Making plans with all of your new friends because that's what college kids do!

11. Discussing your alcoholic tastes with your new friends and realizing you're true college kids already.

12. Your first tastes of college romance.

13. Your super-college-party plans not working out so well.

14. Having regrets and calling your parents to tell them all about your first few days of college (dressed up similar to this).

15. Oh, and of course your first time going to college classes.

16. Meeting some upperclassman that drops some wisdom on you and makes you feel so much better about your crazy first week and college overall.

17. After your crazy first week, finally deciding to be optimistic that maybe this first year away won't be so awful. This is our time, let's make the most of it!

So enjoy the first week and first year of college. I promise that you will miss it later.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
