17 Must-Watch Netflix Originals
Netflix

Netflix is one of the most, if not the most, popular site/app to watch movies and shows on. We love watching Netflix all day instead of doing something productive like, I don't know, walking outside, getting a job, actually going to your job, or just paying attention to the world outside of your little Netflix bubble. Let's face it, it's highly addicting and once you find a show on there, old or new, that you are really into, there's not stopping you from watching it except maybe getting a snack to enjoy while you are watching whatever your eyes are glued to.

This has become so addicting in so many ways and now that Netflix has "originals," that are actually good, people are turning to this application more often. Netflix is becoming a more popular reason for people not signing for cable in their new place. I mean, would you rather pay eighty plus dollars a month for internet and cable or just pay for your fifty dollar internet and your eight, or ten if you want 4k, dollar Netflix?! I would rather pay for great internet and Netflix. I've been watching it so much and I have even found some Netflix originals that I actually like.

1. Last Chance U

If you like football then you'll love this show. It's all about giving these guys a second chance at making it big. It's heartfelt and relatable in many different ways.

2. Friends From College

This one is newer and I watched it in 2 days (I work guys, come on). It was hilarious, sad, and the end of the first season make me want more! Also, Robin Sparkles is in this. It's funny because her character in both shows is similar in their own ways.

3. Orange is the New Black

I think this one is kind of obvious. Many people have already watched this show, over and over. But if you have not then you need to catch up on what everyone is watching!

4. The Ranch

I absolutely love this show. This show has an AMAZING cast and they can basically say whatever they want because it's a Netflix Original. This is a must watch, but you might need some tissues along the way.

5. Ozark

This one is new too and it didn't take me long to finish it. It has all the fixings of a drug show, except you really come to care for the family and you just want everything to end. But there are twists and turns and flashbacks that would have been great to know first but I knew why they didn't show them first. A must watch for sure!

6. Grace and Frankie

This show is absolutely one the best Netflix Originals I have watched. It's funny, sad and you find yourself comparing yourself to the characters, even though the two main characters are old enough to be my grandma.

7. House of Cards

I think everyone I know, knows that this show exists and/or has watched it. It's intense, twisted, not at all realistic, keeps you guessing and on your toes. Every year when a new season comes out I tell myself to hold off for a while then watch it. But realistically, I'm watching it after two days of its release.

8. Fuller House

I think this is a no brainer as well. I mean it's the Full House kids all grown with families and everyone comes back on. It's honestly perfect.

9. Narcos

This show will keep you on your feet. Drugs, money, sex. This show has it all and it's an intense ride.

10. The Do Over

I love Adam Sandler and David Spade. These guys are the perfect comedy pair and they had to have made this movie specifically with them in mind. I could not imagine a better cast and story line for these comedians.

11. ANY MARVEL SHOW

Honestly, you can't really go wrong with a Marvel show. And I say "really" very delicately because many people do not like the Netflix versions of these Marvel characters. BUT this isn't about the haters this is about one girl's opinion. Haters gonna hate, hate, hate

12. Between

So basically in this show, this little town gets a virus. No one is allowed in or out. And here's the ticker, all the adults died. GO WATCH THIS SHOW. It's one of my favorites!

13. Travelers

I like this show because it's futuristic and I like shows like that but not everyone does, again one girl's opinion. It's interesting, funny, and intense at moments. This is one of those shows that you really have to pay attention to in order to understand what's going on.

14. Lemony Snicket's: A Series of Unfortunate Events

Neil Patrick Harris is the perfect Olaf. I mean Jim Carrey was good, but damn does Neil nail this performance!

15. Santa Clarita Diet

Now, I like zombie shows and movies. I love iZombie and I love 28 Days Later, Shaun of the Dead, and World War Z. This Netflix Original is like iZombie but it really focuses on how a mother would be able to survive, if she were to become a zombie, with the help of her family.

16. Bloodline

Nothing says complete family betrayal quite like this show. It's deep rooted, intense, never forgetting, brutal, family betrayal. This show went from zero to sixty in 3.5 seconds. It's a thriller in the sense that you literally do not know what is about to happen to these people or one individual person.

17. Peaky Blinders

This show is good, I haven't completely caught up from where I left off, but I do like it or else it wouldn't be here. It's worth the watch if you're into a mobish feel.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
