This year, film will be characterized by a dizzying number of spinoffs and sequels (albeit ones from awesome originals) accompanied by a few new thoughts. Here are 17 of the many films of 2017 that will probably make the biggest splash.

1.) Star Wars Episode VIII: We may have lost Carries Fischer out here in the real world, but General (formerly Princess) Leia will still make an appearance in the next chapter of the Star Wars Legacy in December. I would say that this will be the biggest film of the year because, I mean come on, it’s Star Wars.

2.) A Cure For Wellness: I think this one looks awesome. Gore Verbinski (director of the first three Pirates of the Caribbean films) brings us this strange psychological thriller/horror film. It looks like it’s going to have beautiful camera work, compelling writing and nerve-biting suspense.

3.) Beauty and the Beast: Emma Watson is Belle! Disney has been having great success reimagining their iconic animated classics in live action, and Beauty and the Beast be no exception. It looks beautiful.

4.) Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets: This won’t be as big as Star Wars, but it will be nearly the biggest Sci-Fi flick of the year. Directed by Luc Besson (Fifth Element, Lucy), the action packed future-set film will take us into a world of wonder.

5.) Dunkirk: The next film from Christopher Nolan (Inception, Interstellar, Dark Knight Trilogy) will be a World War II drama. One of the leading men will be none other than One Direction’s Harry Stiles!

6.) Kingsman 2: Eggsy is back everyone! Galahad as played by Colin Firth is gone for good I’m afraid. In this sequel, the British secret service team will join forces with the American Secret Service. It should be a hoot!

7.) Guardians of the Galaxy 2: Baby Groot! ‘nuff said

8.) Pitch Perfect 3: Well they already won the National A Capella Contest AND the World A Capella, so my only guess would be that this time around the Barden Bellas will have to blast off into space and become the Inter-Galactic Champions of a cappella music.

9.) Fifty Shades Darker: Yup. You probably already know, and if you don’t, I can’t explain it to you with my PG vocabulary.

10.) Spiderman Homecoming: Spiderman is back in high school and Michael Keaton is Birdman again, well not technically Birdman (the Vulture).

11.) Kong Skull Island: This isn’t a continuation of Peter Jackson’s King Kong (2005). This is a modern day story with guns, giant monkeys, helicopters, and skull crawlers.

12.) Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tales: In the fifth film of the Captain Jack Sparrow Series, a dead man tells many tales and subsequently makes a lot of live men dead.

13.) Transformers the Last Knight: Maybe this is the last Transformers movie, maybe not. Either way, it will be huge.

14.) Fast and Furious 8: These keep looking better and better. Dom is the bad guy: a victim of some weird psychological cyber terrorism. The rest of the crew has to take him down with the help of his ex-con brothers.

15.) Jumanji: The Rock stars in this re-imagination of Chris Van Allsburg’s famous tale. In fact, the Rock is starring in about 10 films in 2017, and making bank because of it.

16.) Logan: This one will take us up close and personal with everyone’s favorite X-Man: Wolverine.

17.) The Emoji Movie: How much more modern can you get?? A movie about self expression starring the little faces our thumbs tap every day to avoid describing our own feelings. It will be hilarious.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
