The automobile was one of the finest inventions ever. With the ability to get you from point A to point B whenever and wherever that may be. As long as there was a road ahead of you, the adventure was on. There are ups and downs to every invention, though. When you’re taking a drive, chances are you’ll see or witness something that’ll make you angry. Let’s face it, we’re not all perfect drivers, although some claim to be. So, here’s 16 of the many things you see others doing on road that may drive you mad.
1. What's a Turn Signal
It doesn’t seem like that big of a deal but from merging lanes on a highway to taking a last minute turn,
2. They Call Me Speed Racer
Weaving in and out of lanes is one of the most dangerous ideas. Not only does it put you at a risk but it puts others.
3. I just need to finish this chapter
Not sure how some can drive and read a book but I’ve seen it. Crazy I tell you.
4. Yeah, I Drive On The Shoulder During Stopped Traffic
I don’t know what it is that makes you feel more important than the line of cars in front of you, but patience is key in this situation. We all hate traffic, but unless it’s an emergency, don’t be that guy who thinks he can drive around all the stopped traffic.
5. I Totally Wait Until Last Minute To Merge Into Another Lane
You saw that the lane was closing miles ago, don’t go waiting till last minute to cut in front of everyone.
6. Sunday Driving All The Way In The Left Lane, Can I Get A Of Course
The left lane always feels like the super cool lane, but if you’re not going to go the speed to pass someone, make the other lanes super cool dude.
7. Active Singer/Dancer With No Hands On The Wheel
By all means, jam away but keep your hands on the wheel. I’m sure you’re the best car dancer around but you can be the best driver around too. Belt out those lyrics all you want, just be safe please.
8. I Need To Talk And Look At My Bro In The Backseat
Eye contact is sometimes necessary for a conversation but it’s also necessary when you’re behind the wheel. Your friends will appreciate it more if you’re looking forward then looking back and almost getting into an accident. Trust me, talking will make up for the loss eye contact.
9. Need To Fix My Chipped Nail Polish
I can barely make my nails look good with full concentration at the kitchen table. How you paint your nails while they’re rested on the steering wheel is beyond me. It’s scary, that’s what it is.
10. Let Me Turn On My Turn Signal Last Minute, It's All Good
It’s not the worst thing you can do but let’s say I’m trying to turn and I wait till you go by but then you suddenly slow down and turn. Like, I've been waiting patiently for you dude. C'mon now. Just let me know what you're up to please.
11. Dramatic Breaking, Shakespeare Style
I’m super thankful your brakes work but they won’t be if you keep breaking like that. Yes, it's better to be safe than sorry but if you keep breaking so fast, it may not be pretty either.
12. Ignoring Pedestrians / Cyclists
I get it, it’s annoying when someone crosses the street and you have to stop for them but technically they have the right away and well, it’s nice to know that they’ve safely crossed the street. Crosswalk or not, look out for them. This isn’t Grand Theft Auto or Homer Simpson's Car Game. You don’t get points by nearly hitting them.
13. Music Blaster
You’re going to go deaf faster than everyone else my friend. Sure, you got good taste in music but I can hear it and see your car shaking. How does that not hurt your eardrums?
14. Blind Spot Driving
Sometimes people do this without noticing they are doing it. Not every car has those tiny blind spot mirror on the actual mirror. It’s not hide and go seek, look out man.
15. There Will Be No Space In Between Our Vehicles, You Are Welcome
I like you too but it’s okay if you want to respect my bubble. You don't have to see how close you can get to my car before you tap it. We're at a red light, chill.
16. Dude, I can easily text & drive
You may think that you can do two things at once, but driving and texting should not be one of them. In the few seconds it takes to look away from the road, anything can happen.
