16 Valentine's Day Nightmares

All sorts of people hate Valentine's Day for all sorts of reasons. In my opinion, V-Day has the potential for romance but has even greater potential for disaster. I have put together 16 circumstances that would ruin anyone's Valentine's Day. 

1. Your boyfriend breaks up with you before dinner on a post-it note.

2. Your significant other forgets it is Valentine's Day, altogether; you try not to care.

3. Your Valentine's Day flowers are delivered to the wrong person.

4. You are single, but work at CVS and are forced to sell heart shaped boxes of chocolate and teddy bears all day, just reminding you how single you are.

5. Your girlfriend makes you watch Nicholas Sparks movies all night.

6. Your significant other thinks romance is a McDonald's hamburger for dinner.

7. Your girlfriend makes you go to 50 Shades of Grey with her and all of her friends.

8. Your significant other tells you -- by a text message -- he or she has been cheating on you. 

9. Your entire counter is filled with flowers from your roommates’ boyfriends; you are single and get to stare at them all day. 

10. You get the stomach bug when your significant other has an extravagant date planned.

11. Your parents send you text messages all day asking if you are okay because you are still single. 

12. You find out your ex has a valentine this year and you don't, reminding you again that he has moved on.


13. You forget it is Valentine's Say and walk into Target to see tons of boys buying flowers.

14. Your significant other buys you an expensive gift; you show up with a card and a pack of gum. 

15. You go to dinner with your roommates, and you see your crush on a date with another person.

16. You are home alone while all your roommates are on dates; every channel is showing romantic movies.

 
While Valentine's Day has the potential to end horribly, it is meant as a day of love. Love for yourself, your family, your friends, and maybe a significant other. Everyone deserves a little love, every now and then, so try and enjoy it. And pray none of these awful things happen to you.
