16 Songs You Need to Add to Your Christmas Playlists
Six Colors

I can honestly say that my 18 years of life has caused me to legitimately despise that one radio station that continuously plays the same classic Christmas carols all day, every day, in the same order. I mean the classics are great, do not get me wrong, but they're becoming a little played out. I have for you today, a new Christmas playlist for you. Some of those same classic songs are still on here, just some updated versions and a few originals. No matter what your preferred music genre is, I'm sure you'll find something you like here...

1. Last Christmas - Taylor Swift

For the country lovers out there, this first one is for you! Nothing like some 2007 Taylor Swift to start off the holidays!

2. Carol of the Bells - Crystallize

Man, these DJ's can make any song sound really cool now.

3. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays - Issues

For some this one might be a little too heavy for your liking, but a cover of a popular holiday song by the one & only *NSYNC is perfect to listen to when you need to get hyped for the holidays!

4. The Christmas Song - Justin Bieber featuring Usher

If you haven't listened to Justin Bieber's Christmas album, Under the Mistletoe, you're missing out. Oh, those beautiful vocals.

5. Fool's Holiday - All Time Low

A little Christmas love song for you! I cannot lie, this personal favorite of mine. I mean you could never go wrong with some All Time Low.

6. Tchaikovsky, The Nutcracker - Dirty Noize

I'm not even into EDM and I was even jamming to this. Dirty Noize brought an exciting spin to this Christmas classic!

7. Jingle Bell Rock - Rascal Flatts

I really cannot listen to this song without doing the Mean Girl's dance in my head, but this is a fun version for sure!

8. Baby, It's Cold Outside - Larry Lovestein Featuring Ariana Grande

Larry Lovestein (Mac Miller) and Ariana Grande released this gem four years ago! Thanks you guys!

9. Ex-Miss - New Found Glory

A pessimistic take on a Christmas time. If you're going through a Christmas time break up, I am very sorry. New Found Glory has been there.

10. All I Want For Christmas Is You (Extra Festive) - Mariah Carey

If you are not listening to the extra festive version, you're doing Christmas wrong.

11. Yule Shoot Your Eye Out - Fall Out Boy

I'd like to thank Fall Out Boy for this piece of art and Patrick Stump's parents for giving birth to him.

12. This Christmas - The Summer Set

This might be the most fun and upbeat song on this list. The Summer Set really killed this song!

13. It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas - Michael Buble

Michael Buble's voice fits this song perfectly, and all of his Christmas music is surely phenomenal.

14. Merry Christmas, Kiss My Ass - All Time Low

Another Christmas break up song! Whether you're in a happy relationship, single, in that awkward talking phase, or going through a break up I promise you this is a fun one to sing with friends as loud as possible!

15. Winter Wonderland/Don't Worry, Be Happy - Pentatonix featuring Tori Kelly

Aside from this being such a wonderful take on a classic song, Tori Kelly is in it too?!?! Everyone's voices mesh so delightfully!

16. Won't Be Home for Christmas - Blink-182

A very scrooge-inspired Christmas song, but I couldn't leave out Blink even if I tried.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
