Finding your soulmate in BFF form is one of the many wonderful things that happens to you in college. But the not so wonderful part? Realizing that you don't get to spend three months of the year with them! Summer break is a luxury in its own right, but best friend withdrawals are real, and they are absolutely awful.

Here are a few things that happen when you start to miss your other half:

1. You find yourself stalking pictures of you guys from your freshman year Facebook album on the daily.

2. You accidentally blurt out your inside jokes in front of your friends from home, and they all look at you like you're crazy.

3. You tag them in everything funny and interesting on Instagram because they aren't with you in person to laugh about it together.

4. You dread having to be your own inspiration at the gym, because you're so used to them shouting words of encouragement over your shoulder and being your ultimate workout buddy.

5. You would do just about anything for a girl's night with wine, Trader Joes goodies, and Beyonce.

6. You miss the feeling of having someone literally a phone call away who can come over whenever you need her and make everything okay again.

7. When something reminds you of them and you get super giddy, no one around you understands the hype.

8. You text all the time about what your plans are going to be for next year and how wonderful it'll all be when you're reunited.

9. You miss the feeling of having someone hold you accountable for your sh*t.

10. More than you care to admit, you even miss hearing about her guy drama and getting live updates on the situation.

11. You crave dinner dates at your favorite restaurant, and when you go there without her, its just not the same.

12. Blowing all the money you just made without a parter in crime by your side doing the same exact thing makes you feel way too guilty.

13. When your jam comes on the radio, you imagine her right there next to you, jamming out with you.

14. You constantly send each other play by plays of what you're doing.

15. You send 500 Snapchats back and forth while at the mall, because you need her approval before buying anything.

16. You would do anything to have a late night heart to heart, pizza binge, or doing something reckless together that you would regret in the moment, but remember and cherish forever.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
