As a short person myself, I've thought long and hard about the many advantages I have due to my height. I don't mind it most of the time, but every now and then I need to be reminded of the positives. Here are just a few of them.

1. You can squeeze through large crowds without anyone noticing.

2. People mistakenly think you’re younger.

When you get older you'll still have that youthful glow while most of your friends won't. SCORE.

3. You’re more likely to live longer.

While your body itself may not be long, doctors say your life span will be!

4. You’re closer to the ground, lowering the likelihood of falling over.

Take that, gravity!!!

5. Mastering the art of wearing heels is a piece of cake.

Who said you can't wear heels around the house?

6. Your shoulder can literally be leaned and cried on.

7. Constantly being called “cute” or “adorable”

Compliments are always nice.

8. Jumping on counters to grab things you can’t reach turns into a perfectly good workout.

9. Being able to fit in small spaces when needed.

Or just for the kicks and giggles.

10. When people let you stand on your seat at a concert, getting a better view than everyone else.

And possibly making eye contact with your favorite artist/band. SWOON.

11. Always having enough legroom in the car or plane.

12. Never growing out of your favorite clothes

...But probably still buying new clothes anyway because you want to keep up with the trends.

13. Never being too tall for a bed.

And being able to curl up and take a nap almost anywhere.

14. Asking for help to reach something on the top shelf sparks a conversation in the food store

Who knows, maybe the person will be cute.

15. You can easily get kids' discounts.

16. People often underestimate your power, creating the opportunity for you to prove them wrong.
