By now Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook have all been flooded with news of people announcing that they will be running for president of the United States. While you may not know exactly who you’re voting for, you should know a little bit about each candidate.

1. Jeb Bush was reportedly considered to be a candidate for NFL commissioner in 2006, but turned it down to finish out his term as governor.

2. In 1997, Hillary Clinton won a Grammy for Best Spoken Word Album for the audio version of her book “It Takes a Village.”

3. Bernie Saunders is the third socialist to be elected to Congress. After serving in the House for 16 years, Saunders is the longest serving “Independent” in American history.

4. Martin O’Malley has been the frontman of the Celtic rock band O'Malley's March since 1988.

5. Marco Rubio’s current favorite artist is Nicki Minaj.

6. Ted Cruz was actually born in Calgary, Canada.

7. Prior to running for president, Lincoln Chafee worked as a professional farrier for seven years. (In case you didn’t know, like I didn’t, a farrier is a specialist in horse hoof care.)

8. Senator Rand Paul performs several pro-bono eye surgeries each year. Don’t worry, he is a trained ophthalmologist.
