Are you an education major? If so, you'll know these "15 Ways You Know You're An Education Major" to be true when you read them. I know that sometimes we as education majors occasionally question whether or not if the endless hours of writing lesson plans and if the amount of times we have to suffer through group projects will eventually be worth it in the end, but we know deep down that it will without a doubt be worth it. My hope (and I'm sure this is yours too) is to make a difference in just one child's life. If I can be the reason a child has a smile on their face or the reason a child looks forward to coming to school to learn and grow then I'll know I'm in the right profession. I believe that teaching is a labor of love and that it is one of the most rewarding jobs in the world. Here are 15 ways you know that you're an education major:
1. You get really angry when people say you'll never find a job.
It's the one thing everybody loves to remind you of.
2. You also get annoyed when people always feel the need to tell you that you won't make a lot of money.
Although you lowkey wish your future spouse will be wealthy.
3. You've noticed that people don't understand how speaking in front of a room full of 9-year-olds is way different than having to present in your different college courses.
It really is different!
4. You go into teacher stores and practically need to get dragged out.
5. And by now you probably also have a Pinterest board dedicated to ideas for your future classroom.
6. You often talk with your hands when telling your family a story.
7. And you tend to say things like "1,2,3,...all eyes on me" to get their attention.

8. Thanks to all your teachers you practically have Blooms Taxonomy memorized.
9. This is your face when you read your course syllabus on the first day of classes and see the many different presentations you'll have to give.
10. When people ask you if you're tired...
11. Your wardrobe is slowly but surely evolving into a more business casual style.
12. You start to envision how your name will sound one day when you're finally a teacher.
13. You realize you'll forever love Fridays and dislike Mondays.
14. But at the end of the day your passion for teaching and wanting to impact children is what it's all about.
You will always seek out the positives in every student to make them feel good about themselves. No put downs, only lift ups...Right!?
